Um... hmm... I was under the impression based on the stacks and stacks of Hoists and Grapples sitting on the shelf at my local Toys R Us that the CEs were not selling... Interesting that Hasbro keeps churning these reissues out.

They are planning on selling this via the online store, only. As far as I know, it will not be sent to a TRU or anything thereof.

Astrotrain was already done when TRU pulled the plug. News of it's release met with absolute silence at Botcon. I've NEVER seen such a poor reaction! Not that I blame anybody, most people who wanted the white version already imported it.

Yeah, I was really hoping Hasbro would suck in their gut, swallow their pride, and reissue the grey version. But NOOO-OOO, reissue the white one again, and make the grey one shoot up to $1000 before we know it.  Again, I think to myself, "What are they thinking?" |

i want a hasbro release of Predaking and Star Convoy so i won't have to pay big bucks for the Takara release

When I was with TRU I tried my damndest to help submit idea after idea on how they could do the line better. they ignored it and gave us waves with Hoist, Skids and Grapple while sending Sideswipe to Canada only  They helped shoot their own line in the foot time and time again. Personally I would have had Hasbro change the offerings...the cars came in boxes of 6, I would have pulled an E-Hobby like move and made 2 of those 6 an exclusive recolor. New name, new character, same mold...just like E-Hobby but in colors they weren't offering either...BAM sales would have increased by 33% right there! Do the same with the larger figures...seekers & Rodimus...new colors would have rocked to get new seekers and maybe a Nemesis Prime recolor of Rodimus...alas they thought the idea was stupid... |
