Well, finally common sense arrived to Fewture. And they went a step further: Black Getter 1! The ugly purple is gone....hurrah. Yeah, gotta get 2 of these. (But can I afford it? 2 Shin Getter 1s, ore-ordered Energer, and now this bad boy.)

I've been thinking about getting two as well. All of you know that this only means that the Shin Getter will get a Black Repaint version as well, right? Get your wallets ready gentlemen, this is gonna hurt! ;D

I dont think there will be delays given that the Getter one mold has been released and re-release a few other times unlike the Shin G.
If I remember correctly my original Black Getter cost more at upon issue at $420USD before shipping or something close to that, whereas this will cost about $350-ish.
Its pretty obvious that this will affect the value of the original it will likely even bring it down lower than its initial price....possibly lower than this new version.
Kind of feel sorry for those of us who couldn't wait and decided to folk out $800-$1K and up for the original.
Personally, I am a bit tempted because of the option of the regular getter 1 that a could display beside my Ryoma, I always had the mind set of getting the black versions of all 3 Fewture Getters to go with my Ryoma one but......I probably won't.

The people at Fewture are pure genius! Even if folks already own the original Ryoma Black Getter, they will be so tempted to purchase the repaint BECAUSE it can be displayed as a generic black Getter-1, and it looks like it will be pretty awesome in that mode too. Like I said, I might have to buy two of these...

Will the mold hold up?. This will be the 4th time this mold is use. (1. Black Ryoma, 2 (Getter 1), 3 (Getter 1 re-release)
I wonder if Fewture needs a reliable hit. After the cash they spent on getting Shin Getter to market. This makes a lot of sense. They has experience with this mold this is simply a color change. QC should not be a problem.

I think the Black Ryoma Getter mold should be fine. So far I have never heard of any complaint about it.

As they set the release date is Feb 2012... However, 23rd Jan is the Chinese New Year. Chinese workers won't be working for a few days/weeks.
People better expect this set will delay until March or later.

it sucked if they use the same mold was hoping they fixed the weak waist joint with this release.

IF the energer is released this year (original release date was march 2011) im sure black getter ryoma will also be released next year with delays up to the end of 2012

I know we're all still smarting from the 2 year delay on the Shin Getter 1 and the subsequent QC issues. So I can understand the doubts on the February 2012 release for the Black Getter Repaint. But we need to remember that the Shin Getter 1 was an ambitous, complex design...and it was NEW. The molds for the Black Getter are completed. It's basically a new color scheme and a new Black Getter 1 head. I agree, this will be delayed, but cetainly by late spring 2012 this should see the light of day. Now....about those Ex Gokin Getter G figures....

it will be delayed no doubt, but it will be months, not years like the shin getter.

This is great news for those who missed out on the original Ryoma Black Getter. The only difference so far is the purple paint, the biceps being silver instead of light grey and Prof Sato's autograph.

reading it, I think that there are two products... one is just the getter 1 in black. 2 is the ryoma changing set that is applicable onto the getter1...
reading their tweet on twitter:
fewturemodels Future booth at his new works from Lobo series alloy WORKS EX. Black Getter Ryoma Mode finally VER Repaint hot demand by the fans. We have exhibited a Changing Set! Booth 3-13.

but why would they call it a changing set then if they are two separate products? I still think it is just one.

if you look at the description poster... there are two bold letter prints.... 1. black getter ryoma mode changing set... 2. bottom left, getter 1 black version...
Usually fewture products have bold letters on each product... at least thats what I can guess it would be....

okay, again, why would they call it CHANGING if it is not going to? also, there is an arrow pointing from the ryoma getter to the black getter meaning it changes into it.
