I'm a happy boy today. Just got this as a late birthday present from one of my American friends in Seattle. After only about 30 minutes of messing with it, I can honestly say this is a really impressive EX Gokin figure. I have always loved Ryoma's Black Getter from Shin Getter Robo OVA. Proper photos coming soon.

Calm down chogokinabdul, here are the pics.
I am so in love with this figure. Not even a day in my collection and already it is one of my top favorites. I really had fun taking photos of this awesome piece from Fewture. It does have parts that fall apart easily, especially the upper chest piece, but other than that very solid and amazing in details. Best birthday present ever! All these were shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II with 24-105 F4L IS Lens + 2x 580EXII flashes. Enjoy the goodness that is Fewture Black Getter.

Those are some very nice pics. I'm still on the fence about getting this one. I used to have the original but alas, I sold it a few years ago. What I paid for it and what I sold it for was well justified to me. Needless to say, I was so excited when Fewture came out with this one.

It is totally worth it. I've only gotten into the Fewture EX Gokin releases this year and I think they're amazing. Also Dragon has finally arrived and I'm going to post pics of that soon

This may seem an odd question. If you had to pick between this getting and the Maketoys giant, what would you pick. Fandom of series aside, just on a design and quality standpoint? I have enough in my budget for one or the other and a day and a half to decide. I do prefer the original getter colors, but the black isn't bad. I also like the mix of engineering of Giant, but not keen on all the individual bot modes.

Depends on what you want it for. Giant is more fun. Black getter looks like a high end display piece, and it is; but it's not a lot of fun in terms of posing; and other than changing a few armor pieces, obviously not transformable.

The individual bots of Giant will surprise you. I didn't like them either, but when i got them in hand found they are little marvels and really fun. That said, since I completed giant (I have 3), he hasn't left combined mode. I don't have the black ryoma, and while I do want it, I wouldn't trade my Giant to get it.

Thanks guys. I like 3rd party tfs for their engineering aesthetics and being interactive installations. I always liked the feature getter but I am afraid it would end up as a cool statue in my shelf. The feature is cheaper and if I get it, room is left in my budget to also get art storm jet robo.

I'd rather have the Fewture Ryoma's Getter. I have both, and Green Giant is awesome but I just like the getters more.
