You said it Chen, POS is right. Looks like a dangblasted Spychanger.  Don't get me wrong, it's a cool design and transformation, but they should've used it for someone like Ironhide or Kup and left Prime out of the Alt/BT line. Oh well, just another bad idea by the powers that be. I often find myself thinking, "What are they thinking?" |

It looks like it's not even transformed right, the legs need to extended and the arms look too skinny. I agree it should have been Ironhide or Trailbreaker, I'm starting to get a feeling that Hasbro/Takara is more worried about getting actual car licenses than what car/truck suites a particular character.

I've heard rumors in the past that a Trailbreaker repaint of the yellow Jeep, Swindle, are in the works. They say his head is sculpted like Trailbreaker's, just as the black Viper, Dead End's head was sculpted like Sunstreaker's, and now the "correct" Sunstreaker is being released in yellow as it originally should have been.

Alt Mirage simply ROCKS! I was hoping for the GT to see light of day as an Alternator and this one didn't dissapoint.
As for Prime, it was a compromise. Takara didn't want a truck in the line, they just aren't as big in Japan apparently...but Hasbro really wanted it so they came to a compromise having be Optimus so it would sell better in Japan than if it was a lesser character.

Boo Alt Prime. Go away! Ironhide would've been awesome. But Alt Prime? And wouldn't it be just as tall as the other Alts?

Ironhide will always be a van to me. As for this new Optimus? mmm.... ugh. Something's not right about him being a pick-up. Maybe because even as a kid I always thought pick-up trucks were not real "trucks" but only cars who wanted to be trucks. (yeah I was a weird kid). Ho-hum... at least they chose a Dodge Ram - which is one of the biggest pick-up trucks around. ...I have visions of Alternator Ultra Magnus being the same Dodge Ram but with an extended cab option...  |

Yeah, a pick up truck isn't really suited to be Optimus's alt mode. Now maybe if they made the truck Orion Pax... |
