So, I had another beautiful vintage find today at the local flea market. But before we get to that let's look at my buddies two neighbors front porches. Now keep in mind these are two separate houses right next door to each other. Methinks a little friendly competition is going on. Alrighty, in a barely noticed pile that I passed as I was leaving the flea market, these beauties were shining and they had to be had. I knew they were damaged and my heart sank to see incomplete but, I'm happy to report that at least 2 and a half beautiful vehicle specimens made their way into my collection. I present to you Voltes V. So obviously, the Volt Bomber is a sad specimen of missing tail fins and broken arms. Next up is the Crewzer. It looks pretty solid, with a nice intact cockpit. But as is often the case, looks can be deceiving. Oh my god no! The face! Thankfully this fella looks pretty good as a Crewzer. Finally, there is hope in the legs and feet. I'm glad that this fella now has a home, but I am considering selling him off to fund some other better specimens. For now though, I'm proud to have a killer robot, incomplete and damaged as it is, in my humble collection. At least I'm halfway to a full robot.

According to my friend, thise two households have people who he believs do some sort of distribution with Asian market stuff. That being in Santa Monica, could mean some type of movie distro.

Damn kids... get off my lawn with your robot toys, I tell yah!
Seriously, like I said, my heart dropped after I had first seen those beautiful chunky feet and saw its condition overall.

If you got him cheap, then you might be able to piece him together for a lot less what he goes for complete.

He was $15, so I think I did good. I'm definitely looking at that option as his parts seem to go for $40-$50 with no accessories. I'd just need the two middle pieces and maybe his head but that piece is in a kind of cool battle damaged mode.

Congrats on the pieces. I've managed to assemble a few of the combiners in this fashion (i.e., piecemeal).
Those statues are awesome. I love to see stuff like that stateside.
