Imo, this is a very rare piece, have never seen one in ebay until recently, if i am not erong, the buy it now price is higher than the one you mentioned.

So, if it was at Yahoo Japan, then the $3600 is the USA dollar equivalent of whatever the Yen amount was, right? That is a very beautiful base indeed, and I'll bet it's really huge too. Whoever bought it is a lucky winner with a butt-sore wallet. lol Thanks for sharing.  zozo-mag |

If it came with a yellow-joint voltes like in the picture, I'd say price is about crazy. Not insane, just crazy:p

It's big white plastic with a skinny robotic bird head and white doors with numbers on them.

Weird, if you do an image search for "Voltes V Big Falcon Base" some of the pics that come up are from this very thread in 2011, and they're great, but don't show up here on the first post anymore. I'll try to figure out how to re-title those pics to show up compatible with R-J's format. If you're looking at toys of the base, keep in mind there is the Big Scale Base that fits the DX Voltes components, then there is the ST little diecast one, then a few years ago on SOC sized kit was on the market. Thanks for the info! Mine is not the vintage one but the remake by Toy Secret. It doesn't have the stickers but is more modern looking and also have light up interior. Hope it's worth something.
