Don't know if bootleg discussion is allowed here, but I've had this 4.5" robot since the mid '80s (came from a fun fair). Still have it somewhere in the attic. Body and legs are die-cast, arms, fists and head are plastic. Fists can shoot off. I remember calling him Goldstar. I'd like to know what bootlegline he was from and who his official counterpart is. P.S. picture is borrowed (mine isn't damaged) Attachments:

There were several different robot toys of those made, sometime back in the late '70s, kinda like a knockoff tribute to the Bandai small Shogun Warriors die-cast line.

Hmm, when looking at the Marushin (same company as Marusin?? I meant Marusan, not the same) Bull Caesar, I like the bootleg head and colorscheme better. ;D
95% sure my bootleg didn't come in such a fancy box as chogoman's; if memory serves right mine came on a blistercard...

Yes, chogoman's toy is a larger figure, more sturdy. Yours is a smaller figure that can be quite floppy. As magengar said, there are many variations of that toy, including a nice Jeeg. I've only seen them carded too, though the cards vary. Most of these I see overseas (Italy predominantly).
BTW, welcome to the site!

Yes, I do recall seeing them in blister cards. Back in the day when they were a little more frequently available I bought a couple from a neighborhood Discount store in the Bronx. Of the two which I bought, one of them was yellow/black and the other was kinda orange/black. Those also had firing fists, and their joints were loose. If I can remember correctly, there were just four different robot characters made in the blister card version.
