Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I just joined because my parents came to visit my wife and I. They brought a bunch of my childhood possessions including all my Godaikin robots I got in the early 80s as a kid. I googled some of the models I had, and found that they are collected, in great demand and very valuable. I had no idea. I remembered I had these robots, but didn't remember any details. As a kid, I knew these were very high quality and kept very good care of them. I still have most of the parts for each one, plus all the boxes.
Here they are. If this belongs in the Gallery forum, please move.
Abega robots, with the Beta robot missing. I bet I still have it, but it's buried in a box somewhere at my parent's house.

Vavilos robot. This one still had the directions. I think it has all the missiles too. The little chain gizmos are from another robot. I realized after I took the picture.

Sun Vulcan. This one has the most missing accessories. Two of the large weapons are missing. Again, they may be buried in a box someplace.

Gardian. Has one large sword and a couple of the mace heads and handles missing, plus missing missiles. All the figures are there, though.

Daimos. This one is almost entirely complete. I think only some missiles are missing (plus the instructions and catalog).

Matchbox Voltron. This has robots labeled "GB-36" with Japanese writing on all the labels. Came in three sets to make the full robot. Not Godaikin, but still Japanese and high quality.

Tetsujin 28. This seems to be the big boy everbody wants. Lucky for me, I liked this one less as a kid because it didn't transform. I still have every single part (although I may be missing 2 missiles, don't know if it came with 6 or 8). No paperwork, and the box is torn near the handle, but it's still all there. No paint loss, no decal loss, no broken parts. Only a few scuffs on the back where the rocket pack attaches by magnet.

What do people think? Are these good examples? Are the missing parts a big deal (i.e. how hard should I look for them)? They certainly do look cool on the bookshelf, but I can't say that I'm a "collector". The collection kind of fell in my lap. The 10 year old me was the collector. So, I guess I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them or end up selling them to people who do appreciate them even more.
