Hi all. Just started noticing that Takara put out a BTA series in the Binaltech line and now I think I'm confused. Is this a totally separate lineup from the binaltech BT series or did the BT series end (last I remember is Prowl, BT-15) and was replaced by the BTA line? Anyone care to enlighten me?
Thanks.

The original BT line is still ongoing, the "Asterisk" line is just a spin-off. For example, the latest BT (I don't know the number off-hand) is Skids - a mini-van, but there's also a BTA version of this mold named Broadcast (I think) with a reporter girl as his passenger.
I previously posted a thread (that nobody answered) asking if the actual BTA bots were the same as the original BT - like if they had the same die-cast parts and everything. At one point in another thread CHEN posted a message that seemed to imply they were the same, but were simply repaints (and of course, those little anime-girl partner figures).

Well, not that it cost a whole lot more. Just a few hundred yen. You can see the BTA as a variant paint version of BT with an added figure. I got Broadblast (Scion xB) and the extra figure is just ok. Pretty small and with some articulation and extra arms/body for different pose, like a mini gashapon. But its the silver/red paint job I am after. Like that much more than the navy blue Skid has.
