Differences between two Shinken-Oh versions

Is there a difference between the US version and the Japanese version of the Shinken-Oh toy?

The first release (Japanese) was too costly for me to get the first time so the US version, which is more affordable, is now giving me the chance to pick up this one.

Hope you guys can help me with this one.

Read the comparison review and the difference is like night and day. It's quite irritating that they took out the emblem mode in the US version as this is what kind of sold me to it in the first place. The head is also smaller than the Japanese release plus the "V" deco on the helmet is anime accurate. Looks like I'll have to settle for the original version %)
