The last time i was active here was 2003, when my son was born i completely stopped collecting, however i still have my collection. This year, we are back in Japan to visit family. For some reason i saw a go ranger set at nakano broadway and decided to buy it. I think its time to get back to collecting again but not go crazy with the spendings. Today i was at Hero, jungle and Admski. I bought a few loose chogokins. I guess I’ll be starting posting again when i get back to Toronto. ANdy Welcome back! I'm sure you can educate many of us.

I picked these Ninja Steel (Ninninger Shuriken) imports up for my kid at the local comic con. These are the 1st Japanese Megazords I've bought and I'm really amazed. My son has been coming up with different combinations for days - he hasn't even touched his tablet! It's a miracle and I plan on collecting more.

I should read more threads and get more info from you guys! Lots of great releases coming up. SEN-TI-NIL is really hot. Soul of Chogokin is still the gold standard. I like FEWTURE a lot. It's a great time to get back in to the hobby! Here's a link to my unboxing/photos of my favorite figure to release this year: FEWTURE Models: EX Gokin Reideen: robotjapan.proboards.com/post/406526/thread

First chogokin! Had to bite on the Popy version of Getter Liger because MISSILES. He came with a bunch compared to the Shogun version.

I just got a Peruvian Voltron King Of The Jungle bootleg. I wanted to have an odd figure in my jumbo machinder collection. Got it on Ebay from an Italian seller. Will upload a photo of it as soon as it arrives.

Getter Dragun and Great Mazinga came in the mail. Just need Poseidon for the first wave of Shogun diecast. : D Dragun is the Popy version with the pointy mace ends to the axes. Great Mazinga is a green styro Shogun version.
I also bought a "THE Chogokin" version of Mazinger Z, This line was killed way too soon. I would have loved to see the Getter G bots produced, along with a Grendizer, a Gaiking, and a Dangaurd Ace.

The magic of the super sentai toys! I have soc, MB, and many other lines but when it comes to play value nothing beats a sentai toy (it's the main reason why I still collect them). I really love those blocky things. There is a sentai artisan version of the two small ninninger robots (rodeomaru and shinobimaru) one is at sale in bbts and are great figures (diecast loaded and fully articulated). I'll leave you the link: www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/21265

I bought it for my nine year old, and I think he summed it up when he said, "This thing is so complex, but it's so easy." That's the beauty - you practically need to be an engineer to figure out a Transformer; the Sentai figures are intuitive. I'm not an authority on these - my son has a ton of domestic releases. I've got Dynaman, Sun Vulcan, Goggle V, Star in Box Legacy Megazord, Dragonzord, Titanus and the SoCs. The figure you've linked looks great - is it compatible with th the Japanese Ninninger that I've got? Thanks!

Both super sentai artisan figures of ninninger are fully compatible with the original japanese release

[quote timestamp="1539190049" author="@ Hey! Sorry for the slow response. Thanks for that link. I showed the figure to my son and he thought it was cool. But with Christmas coming up, we got to looking at Sentai toys on eBay. His dream is the import Zyuohger Megazord. So, I wound up ordering a loose set of cubes 1-10 with 4 weapon cubes. (Lol... it's hard not to spoil a 9 year old who loves robots as much as his dad). I'd been looking at them for a while, but it's kinda confusing. Are their more cubes that he'll need or you recommend? Thanks!

Are their more cubes that he'll need or you recommend? Thanks! The Basic set is the 10 cubes plus the 4 ! Cubes that are weapons and serves for combining purposes also (you'll need those for for most combinations). Then you have the 4 repaints of the ! Cubes (nothing really special but are disguised as different animal), the cube panda (it's just a cube kuma repainted gold, really nice), cube Condor (0 cube, an interesting retooled cube 1, with this one you can form the exclusive movie mecha) and cube octopus (this one is pretty unique, is just for one combination in the serie the main megazord can fly with this one. I have the basic set. Just one recommendation, there's a set that includes cubes 1 to 6 and two ! (Giraffe and mole). The small cubes tend to be expensive separate and you'll need the main 4 for many combinations (you can use the repaints alternative). Sorry if it's too long. But I wanted to give you an idea of all the cubes. I would recommend the octopus because it's the only original one that it's not a repaint or a retooled. Have fun Edit: Congratulations with the set (for some reason photo did not loaded when I first saw your post). I'll try to get a cheap cube octopus or cube Condor if i were you Also forgot to mention there is a Korean repaint of cubes 1 to 6 that are marked with letters from A to F

Here's what I have on the way: So you recommend the addition of the Zero Cube, the Octopus and possibly the repaints? Thanks for your help.

Recommend the octopus and maybe the Condor. The repaints are mainly for completion. (In my opinion)
