I'm afraid to even bet on a release date since it may never even happen. If that's the case, should we all request a refund? I'd rather have my $$$ sitting in my bank account than someone elses!

The damn figure will be released one minute after people request their refunds, and will sell out immediately! We will be left hanging!!!!

Tell Dave to respond to this thread with regular updates. It'll save him time in replying the same thing to every mail.

I just realized something. What if the promo art *at bottom of post* IS the boxart and they will just remove "coming soon" on the final piece? Also to be fair, they did send dave a box full of the completed final moldings for the diecast and rubber parts. Assuming they already did the plastic bits, it could be assumed they may make the deadline. I would not hold my breath though. Wow, this thread is....epic. The only way I can describe it. I didn't preorder this, but I've been lurking here because I'm looking forward to the success (or failure) of this release by Miracle Productions. I hope this thing is released sooner than later. Having said that, I'd also like to check out the photo-stream from fellow collectors with this in-hand when it does get its' release. Interestingly enough, I was browsing the back of my Dec 2012 copy of Hobby Japan Magazine and in the back was this ad for a webstore in Japan called Big Thunder. They sell the usual anime and giant robot goods as well as some RC and model kits. What intrigued me most however, was a photo in the ad of the this very figure. I went to the site and with a bit of sleuthing, I was able to find the preorder page for Vehicle Voltron. www.bigthunder.jp/product_shousai.asp?no=h0913005Looks like the info they have is an arrival date between Nov-Dec. So, Thought I'd drop that nugget of hope here. *we'll see* ![:-/](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/undecided.png) My question is, is Miracle Productions a Japanese company or are they from HK?? I've not been able to find much info on these guys. Happy Hunting, robo-fans!

I've not been able to find much info on these guys. Happy Hunting, robo-fans! The company claims their factory is right next to the one that makes the SOC's for bandai. So I would assume they are based in HK. As for the company history... I cant really seem to find a clear answer. All we know to be confirmed is that they used to make figures under the "most wanted" brand name and that they was pretty decent. That's about it really, nothing nearly as flashy as some of the back history to some of the third party transformer makers. XD Anyways I have been checking out the box artwork of some of their older releases... and I am afraid the promo image is probably the box art...maybe without the Chinese text and the "COMING SOON!". The front will be mostly clear windowed with a smaller image of the voltron image in the corner, probably the voltron logo, and voltrons name....

Toynami no longer has the rights to Voltron, the last I heard is that Mattel still does. This is only being made because its suppose to be a Hong Kong and south Asia exclusive and thus does not infringe on Mattels licensing rights. But as we all know nowadays there is no such thing as a region specific exclusive. There will always be a way to get what you want no matter how limited or exclusive.

Does anyone know if Toynami still has a license to Dairugger and Golion? I wonder why they haven't tried to improve on their design or released more. OOOOOOOOH boy, the biggest one that springs to mind is CHMS. They started out as a company that made shoddy knockoffs that were sold in mexico. KOToys, who was a online retailer that specialized in selling knock off and smuggled/stolen preproduction mainline figures got ahold of a bootleg classics prime and starscream made by the yet to be named CHMS and were impressed with their quality. So they commissioned some repaints of the molds to sell as unique offshoot repaints that hasbro would never do, or were deco's that had long since been retired and were difficult to get. Anyways this went on for a long time, they have a whole lineup of the recolors, ranging from fake Gold/Silver/Black chrome lucky draw repaints and botcon/tfcc exclusive redecos of the molds, to unique redecos based on background characters from the g1 cartoon. CHMS even went on to make some unique add-on kits based on the CrazyDevy stuff and a Powerglide that was retooled from a resin kit made by Jizai for Wonderfest. At the end they was even working on a newly designed third party MP Galvatron. They had a pretty booming business until Takara and Hasbro completely obliterated KOToys and General Zhao "yes, that was the screen name of the owner of the site". Now CHMS just lives on making bootlegs in a similar fashion as before, I think they may be behind the bootlegs of the Fansproject and Maketoys stuff. Anyways if you dont believe me about the guy actually going by General Zhao, then just google it, he was quite famous for having major temper tantrums on a certain fan site's forum. Basically someone posted negative remarks about KOToys and he went insane. It escalated so quickly and badly that he ended up threatening to catch the head admin as botcon and stab him in the eye with a cheap ink pen. XD So back on topic, Toynami lost the rights to the voltron brand when Mattel got it earlier this year. However this does not mean that toynami wont get it back if Mattel does not renew their hold on the Voltron name in the future. Though to be honest, I would really like Bandai to get ahold of it, especially since there is that rumor about them sitting on a Chogokin go-lion. I think the most we would get out of Toynami on the other hand, is perhaps that canceled display stand with weapons for the MP voltron. I dont think they would be ambitious enough to do a transforming Vehicle Voltron or Voltron 2... I could be wrong though. XD
