"Vaporware" until at least January 2013. I don't see Dave suddenly sending us shipping notices this month.

Lol.. Vaporware. ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png) that brings back memories of Duke Nukem Forever... Seriously though, I hope it does come out and if it does there won't be any major QC issues with toy. Gold

Right, paint issues. Next will be joint issues, and afterwards connector issues. Miracle Productions is definitely the new Fewture. ![:P](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/tongue.png) }|

Maybe the paint was too thin in some spot, or there was overspray, go figure. RK was just assuming it was a paint issue, it might not even be the case.

I think the thing I hate the most is how silent they are about their progress. They will give us a date and then just dont say anything about it until several weeks after the release date has passed. Even then its vague and without much reason.
I mean I just don't understand why every other company can put out occasional teasers and updates on weibo. But these guys just chug along at their own pace silently. :S

I guess we wouldn't mind so much if IMP hadn't already received our $$$ and then basically blew us off ... does that just about sums it up?

The delay RK mentioned is more than likely the same one that was mentioned on Toys Daily where they said it was pushed back the end of this month. Even if he gets released before or after Christmas those of us that ordered from TF probably won't get it til after New Years. Shipping from china will no doubt take a week and then we have to wait for Dave to sort though it all. If you don't care about the diecast sword and your tired of waiting I suggest go ahead and cancel your order. If your afraid you'll miss your chance to own him just keep checking on Robot Kingdom and snag him when he's in stock.

i think people here are mostly upset over the fact that they prepaid for an item that has been delayed.
I dont think that's a good business model, personally. At least it shouldnt be 100% prepaid. this is going to leave a very nasty taste in our mouths with toyfreakz.com.

At least it shouldnt be 100% prepaid. this is going to leave a very nasty taste in our mouths with toyfreakz.com. It's not really Dave's fault, at the time they had given him a delivery estimate of late March/early April. They have been stringing him along just as much as they have been us. However, this most certainly will be the last Miracle Productions item I preorder. Doesn't mean I wont buy instock items of theirs, ill reserve judgement of this until after I handle voltron, but I probably will not preorder anything of theirs again. But as far as toyfreakz goes, Dave is a pretty good guy and toyfreakz is loads better than some of the other online shops I have done business with. Blaming toyfreaks for MP's sluggish progress would be like blaming BBTS for not ever getting in the toynami display stand for MP Voltron. EDIT: Didn't someone mention MP was going to include something special with the initial shipments of voltron as gift to those that put up with all the delays? Or was this something they was only doing for select retailers in Asia? I suppose that could help make up for it a little if its true. :S

To entice pre-orders, they were bundling it with the Blazing Sword.

I wonder if WEP has something to do with the delays. They could be giving MP a hard time because negotiations with Bandai went well. A SOC of both Voltrons will sell many more units then a figure from MP. Could be that Bandai's design for Dairugger couldn't match the MP version because it was designed years ago. But I just think MP jumped the gun and put out solicitations before they should have to drum up interest.

I would prefer that anyways

But I just think MP jumped the gun and put out solicitations before they should have to drum up interest. If that is the case they should just sell the damn thing as Dairugger, not Voltron. I would prefer that anyways Well its not entirely that simple. They would have to track down whoever owned the rights to the Dairugger name and make some sort of arrangement to use it. That's assuming whoever owns Diarugger would let them use the name at all. To be honest I think here is the situation. They made a rough proto and had not made any progress when the preorders went up. Despite them telling Dave it would out by the end of the month. They actually started working on the tooling about the time in June when they told Dave it had to be delayed again due to issues with the diecast tooling. Which granted the design Dave got recently is different than the one they gave him originally. So there could be some merit to this delay, but I honestly doubt it since the proto Dave got was known to be a rough design and the final product would be vastly different. Anyways, about in September when they the colored proto started showing up in displays they probably had finished the diecast tooling and had began on the plastic bits. Which is why they sent Dave a box full of diecast and rubber parts with very few plastic parts present. Now fast forward to now, they probably are wrapping up development of the figure but for the first time legitimately had a issue with one of the paint rollers and had to send off for a replacement. Which is why it was only delayed 2 weeks instead of the usual "we will get back to you later" date they have been giving us. Of course the delay could also be due to the fact that they finished the figure and pumped out a few before going "*facepalm* we forgot to make the box design!" and are not hastily photoshopping one of their most wanted box's with the stock photo's of voltron. I am sure we wont ever know for sure, I guess if the final toy has blue paint on the arm and helicopter instead of the yellow and red we will know for sure. If not then who knows what the ACTUAL hangup was.

Well that's the thing WEP owns the complete rights to Golion and Dairugger which obviously they developed the two Voltron series from so it doesn't matter if you want to make a Voltron, Dairugger, or Golion you have to go through WEP.
I honestly see this as MP drawing hype to get the project started found out its a lot tougher to try and make a SOC level toy and now are so deep in it they can't back out and have invested to much not to finish the product and have so many eyes on them now it better be close to perfect. I don't mind the wait as long as the final product was worth it.
