is pretty cool looking, but my only grip with this new line of toy is that they change the mold complety from the japan version.
however im not to fond with the new concept of clusterf**k of parts combining into 1 mecha.

i had a long debate with myself whether to pick up the japanese shinken-oh or the american samurai megazord. i finally settled it when i picked up the shinken-oh at our local toy collectors store last weekend. good thing i picked that one instead of the other is due to the COMPLETE transformation of the parts. the american zords DON'T transform into emblems.
a great and worthy purchase, and its even taller than my GX-31!

I didn't know that the Japanese toys transformed more!! Wow.... I need to do my research on this.

ive got the full DX shinkenger line from japan and the current toys from the western samurai line, the samurai toys dont go for 'screen accuracy' in terms of all those combinations but they are tough, combine in novel ways comapared to the asian releases and have a universal peg system to combine with last years dino megazord. All the mecha are currently out except the bull zord (aka mogyudaioh) and the lantern zord (daigoyu). They are a lot of fun and recommended. THe plastic used reminds me to transformers animated plastic, has a slightly matt quality over the DX shiny stuff.
