Im looking for you guys to help me out of nostalgic purposes,a photo will do,or if someone has one to sell....Ive never seen it on the internet,its a takatoku toy,its a different Gyakuten-Oh than any I can find on the net.Its a gold box with see thru plastic so you can see the robot and all the accessories,its by far the coolest version Ive seen{had}It comes with a whole array of weapons,Big chrome Axe,small chrome axe,a long black spear,a chrome spear,a long ball and chain type black weapon mace,the shield,many missiles,blue finned type,yellow basic type.Shield,etc etc.I can picture it from my 9 year old mind exactly still{Im 38 now}
The Gyakuten is very detailed and has a blue gem in chest and detailed white head,similar to the nicer ones,but a ton of weapons.The box has alot of cartoons from Ippatsiman on it and is golden box,IT DOES NOT come with the dinosaur car.Its just the main robot but with many more weapons than usual.IF ANYONE has this box version,please post a photo or contact me with pics,Im also interested in buying,but a pic will be great too!!Thanks!!

I wish I can help you but I don't have one I've not seen one for over a year but this version do pop up once in a blue moon in E-bay, it's not as expensive as compared to the DX version. I believe it's all plastic. Just keep a look-out I'm sure you will get lucky soon! Btw nice score on the Sankan-Oh, the back of the box sez Voltus robot, that's a dead give away it's not a Takatoku... Nevertheless it's an awesome pick-up! So I gather you're on your way to acquiring more vintage bots? Btw U need to complete the Gokai trio... ;D They're one of my more precious collections. The Gokai Giant is pretty hard to come by but again with patience you will eventually get both the Dragon and the Giant to go with the Tiger.

Im looking for those now too,there is a nice one on sale teh dragon Gokaiser but its on an italian site,im gonna try and see if I can get it.Thanks for info on Gyakuten,I collect mainly SOC and CMS new versions of classic robots,BUT Im now getting into vintage ones too.But only ones that look non toyish,if you know what I mean?They need to be at least close to anime accurate,or have great box art,the Sankan Oh box art on the taiwan bootleg looks as good if not better than the takatoku ones.So Im happy!

I'll get some comparison shots up later of this set with another GyakutenOh set. This Power Up Box set is interesting, as it has all the proper Tatsunoko (seahorse) sticker licensing marks, but was farmed out to Taiwan to be made. Seems to be kind of like a PuraDera PlaDX type set. Mostly plastic ,but with more "kit" type stuff for a kid.
The robot is cool, as it doesn't transform much, but adds more articulation in the legs, knees, elbows, shouders, head, than any of the Takatoku diecasts had. And BTW, those Takatoku DXs were a bit skimpy on the diecast huh? Seems only the front half of the lower legs got some.
These are some of the coolest looking Samurai robot characters out there.

Okay, have at it kids! My samples aren't the most perfect minty, but they're playable! lol. Power Up Box with TT SupeDeluxe Gyakuten Oh. Outer box fronts: Inner Junks-in-the-trunks shots: Size , articulation, and detail differences can easily be seen. They're both cool in different ways. The PowerUpBox figure more closely resembles the TT Gokaiser toys in build structure, and size. The transforming DX is pretty much a brick, just stands there.

Jon, so how tall are the bots? You mentioned it's around Gokaizer size, so it's approx 5.5 to 6 inches? I had the impression it's bigger

Hmmm. Good question. The Gokaiser comment was just a general "feel" thing, as I was looking at the elbow, shoulder, and knee joints. Not exact of course, but most brands tend to have sort of a family feel to the toy designs. Yeah, except for stuff like BigDaiX Blitzkrieg, or GoShogun, many TT DX toys are more like Clover Dx toy bots, around 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 inch bot, with stacking accessories/ships to stand on. Sheesh, this digging out boxes is kinda fun, ..and dusty, (*ahhh-ChOO!*) but I'd love to have more time to dig some better boxed comparisons out this winter (seems we get this stuff going every winter! so cool!), but I grabbed a beater Gokai Giant(thanks Myles!) sitting loose for comparison. Control size scale provided by classic 1/55 TT Valkyrie. This PowerUpBox Gyakuten is 6 1/2 inch to the top of the red fin on his helmet. I gotta warn you guys though, exposing this kind of intel, is probably putting me on the watch list of the Super IncluSive Secret Securers of toYs (S.I.S.S.S.Y.) and they may not let me talk much more.....hold up...*peeks out window* ..there's a black van parked outside my house! Oh no! Gotta run! Ahhhhhhh! LOL

Urpdate: Cuz I'm silly. ...and arkboy asked... Bigger Ippatsu Gasshin (big DX set w/dinosaur car) GyakutenOH on the left, and the same SuperDeluxe GyakutenOh, from the above pics, on the right. .....Just for more comparison documentation. Not couting helmet horns, big guy is just under 7 1/2" , on the right is about 7" . And the Power Up Box dude was 6 1/2" .

Jon, thanks for the added information, makes me wish I have any version of the vintage Takatoku Gyakuten-Oh. I only own the modern CM's version which had dropped in price. Could be had for under US90 b4 shipping from Angloz --> www.angolz.com/store/brave-gohkin-10sp-reversal-king.html Think I paid like double (w shipping) when it was 1st released, ouch!
