Any die cast or are they staying in the plastic format?

This is one TF I would only get for the sake of completion. After 17 years we finally got a Unicron toy, then a couple years later... they make this smaller vehicular one. It just seems odd. I'd probably like it 100% better if it were a new character because it doesn't look bad, it's just difficult to imagine Unicron as anything less than the planetary Devourer of Worlds he is supposed to be. It's funny though, because we're currently getting some of the best TFs ever, but at the same time we're also getting some of the weirdest. If I'm not mistaken, this will be released in the Cybertron series and will be all plastic.

Hmmm, this is a funky design. It's like a cross between the new Batmobile, a crab, and a spaceship, with just a dash of tank in there. I like the robot mode, but the vehicle mode has too much going on at once. The overall desing could be saved. I would change the crab parts to something less organic and more geometrical, and make the big wheels into big treads instead. As is, it's too wacky, and I'm sure the color scheme would be equally wacky.

For some reason, the legs remind me of Nosiemaze/Sideway's legs in terms of design.

The scale makes me hate the toy. Unicron is supposed to be BIG, not another one of the bunch.
Confusing.....

The very fact he's a vehicle makes me feel bad for him... in a line of vehicles Unicron should be a parking garage at the very least! Ugh...
As for his "bug-like" appearance, I have no problem with that. Unicron had "tusks" or "horns" even as a planet, remember?

Agreed. Such a waste of talent. From planet-eating cyber-world to ridiculous-looking crab vehicle.

I think we're fairly agreed here then. Not too bad by itself, but as Unicron, it just doesn't jibe... And they do tend to like the bright colors, don't they?

I wish we could buy these transformers in prototype color, I always think the paint jobs ruin them and any detail they had. It is a decent looking figure.

Lately they've done some ok color mixes, but they have this tendency to throw too many colors into one figure, and it doesn't help that they are colors like turquoise, lime green, purple and orange. It's the technicolor throw-up effect.

This reminds me of the little Unicron cultist guys from the Simon Furman comic back in the 80's.
