is the face completely different than the Carrobot series(RID)?

Yes, the individual components change into their own robot form. The beauty of the design in the gattai is that you can switch up where each component goes for the limbs. Makes something like three or four different models.

I'm not sure I like the Devastator colors as much. Too much purple maybe? I still am very fond of the original Build King (Can't remember the RID name off the top of my head for some reason) colors.

Ya, I saw those the other day. I wanted to get them, but my wife talked me out of it. I did get the Overbite and Repugnus, though. Instead of the Devastator repaint of Build King, I went online and purchased 3 Brave toys. So, either way, I was happy.
