Despite the robo crouch hard-on I'm liking the way this jehuty is coming out. I didn't get the revoltech version, but I might get this version. I did get the Revoltech version and was sorry about it soon after. Revoltech style joints with 1mm wide feet is preposterous, whoever thought of it. Okay it's supposed to hover, but i'd like to be able to land it too.  |

Is Riobot also making the Anubis looking robot from the game too? Yeah, that other prototype in the first post is Anubis. They also announced a Vic Viper some time ago, but they haven't ever shown a prototype. Despite the robo crouch hard-on I'm liking the way this jehuty is coming out. You're right about sen-ti-nel. Their engineering is just ridiculous. Just no comparison really. I decided there really was just no room for two representations, so I'm totally on board for Jehuty and Anubis when that one comes out. Amazon Japan has a preorder up already. If Riobot Getters have even little diecast, then they will be my first Riobot.
From what I hear from other bros, I hear their quality is top notch.
Leagues above Revoltech...if that's a fair comparison.
Zero to little diecast but excellent figure with excellent sculpt and paint apps.
I hope bros with both toys will chime in to give you real perspective.

Surprised this wasn't talked about as much as expected, to a point that it totally escaped my radar even though I frequent the forums here. Just casually browsing some of the slightly older threads, and bumped into this one. Always wanted a nice Jehuty figure (like the design a lot and has traits of Shinkawa's MGS mech designs, and own the 1st PS2 ZOE game, though never finished it), but it wasn't something I have to have (therefore passed on all the Revoltechs, which turned out to be a good thing...as I don't need multiples of the same mech). Looked up a few of those Japanese reviews, and they all have the same conclusion...a masterpiece. The pictures looked so good, and the articulation is really nice. Big fan of the Riobot GL, so I don't think I can pass up on this one. It seems to be one of Riobot's major release (seems more design work involved, better finish, an a lot of accessories & playability), yet the lesser known Blodia(stoled so much design cues from Votoms) & Getters seem to get a lot more attention than Jehuty here. Too burnt out by the Revoltechs? Or can't quite get your eyes off the 'junk'? Just curious.  |
