It is an absolute beaut, to be sure. Gorgeous design and really clever engineering - the thing is almost entirely made of moving parts, there's so much stuff that can move. It has to be a QA nightmare finding skilled factory workers to put these things together so carefully!
It's got a couple of diecast bits, but nothing major like the Blodia. Some bits in the chest and the elbows, I think.
This release beats out the revoltechs in every way other than price. It's even got its foot stands built in and they slide and lock securely and satisfyingly.

Not sure if you all are familiar with this 'new' intro animation already. Came with the Z.O.E HD Collection came out last year. Has a 5 min brand new awesome animation short featuring the beloved Jehuty. Never seen it so well animated until now, and you can see Sentinel got quite a few cues from this updated depiction (the feet landing gear especially).
Wish the US release came with Japanese dialogue but sadly doesn't (can't stand the English dub from what I have heard, so I'll pass on the game). Otherwise the Limited Edition will be mind (with artbook & remix soundtrack CD too). For now, I'll just live with the fond memories and waiting for the cool figure to arrive.

This thing looks great - can't wait to get mine and retire my Revoltech version. The only thing else I'd want from ZOE is Anubis, which was especially disappointing as a Revoltech.
Off-topic - in terms of other Revoltechs I hope get made in better lines, I've gotten into the Patlabor series recently (I've been picking up the Sentai blu-rays), and I'd love to see that revisited again. The big Yamato release is cost-prohibitive now, and I've never been enamored with the quality of CM's stuff... Patlabor would be neat in Riobot or SRC!

Oh god, I would just die (of joy) if Bandai or Sen-ti-nel made new Diecast Ingrams. I've got all of the CM's and Yamato releases but that wouldn't dissuade me from buying a new one if it were smaller and as well engineered as either a Riobot or an SRC!

I really enjoyed ZoE HD collection and may throw it in my pS3 one more time before my Jehuty arrives. I've really enjoyed The Riobot line thus far, and am really going to have a tough time on the decision to purchase one of the Getters when they arrive. If Sen-it-nel were to make some Patlabor figures, I couldn't pre-order fast enough.

I got mine a while ago for the kickass price of less than $60 shipped from Ebay, and this being my first Riobot, I feel a bit... underwhelmed?
Don't get me wrong- it looks GREAT, has great accessories and the QC is fairly good (though there was some missassembly on mine that led to one of the black ears not being properly aligned- not too noticeable of an issue thankfully. BTW, said ears are DIECAST- no fear of breakage there), but the engineering, which is what these figures are known for, is simply meh. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Bandai's RG and MG Gundam kits have spoiled me, but this figure just doesn't compare to Sen-ti-nel's other releases like Gurren Lagann, Delphine, Blodia, or Black Getter when it comes to how intricate it is. And considering that its MSRP more expensive than all of those above, I would have expected better.
Still beats the pants off of anything CM's or Megahouse has released at the same pricetag though.

I can't seem to find out how much diecast is in this thing. It looks great and i used to love playing ZOE. It is on sale at hlj for around $80 which seems like a good price.

Not a ton - there's basically a diecast core to his torso that goes down his body, as well as some structural diecast in his arms and legs. He's still pretty light, but you're paying for all of the moving parts and the impeccable paint job when it comes down to it.

Think people paid for the LED gimmicks on this more than anything. Looks great but yeah non-diecast Sentinel products can be pricey. Was going to get one but I'm happy with my Revoltech Jehuty. I hate Revoltech in general but the Jehuty is fine. Another great Sentinel release that is lesser known is the Monster Hunter figure. Not as expensive as the other releases by them but its another example of something that looks damn nice.

There are a few small bits of diecast, but they're about as much diecast as all the screws in any Robot Spirits.

^Consumer trickery.
They're just paint apps, least I expected them to do was glow in the dark, but we didn't even get THAT. And to my knowledge, they don't glow under blacklight either. They're just there. =/

They're just there. =/ Booo. Good thing I never bought it. I would've been severely disappointed if I bought it back when I was still looking it up. So conflicted whether or not I want the new Tsugumori as its purely plastic and a little bit fragile by design. Watched the anime because I was curious how it turned out and damn it was nice seeing the series finally animated. So different from reading the manga. That longass cannon though is a little bit too much even for me... If it had diecast parts I would bye it in a heart beat. As much as I like Sentinel $100 for the Jehuty and Tsugumori is a bit too much.

I got my Jehuty for half price and I think that was a decent amount to pay. Anymore and I would have felt really ripped off. It's a great figure, but far from Sentinel's best.
I think the Tsugumori is slightly worse since it's even more of a delicate design and has no diecast. But if you don't get it now, it'll just get more expensive later. I think it's best if you wait for the upcoming, much cheaper Figma.

Damn I didn't know they were making a Tsugumori over at Figma. Just hope it won't be too small.
