Hello! Here is my first message, of course Battle Fever is a must, but I have the chance to buy for something like 300 euros (without box) the italian bootleg version>> UFO: Il Guerriero Dello Spazio. Very nice, I like really this guy, the head is a very special design (but only if you like also bootleg). Collection DX have some good pictures: www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/battle_fever_j/ufo_il_guerriero_dello_spazio

Yeah, 300 euros the UFO robot, this bootleg version is really cool, I have not the $$$ for the original Battle Fever, as I read it can cost the price of a car!!! But if people is interesting by an Italian UFO bootleg, you must take a great care with shipping, because the UFO robot it's like a crystal toy, the plastic parts (especially the white parts are really thin) it can be RIP during a shipping travel, without a strong parcel, the Jumbo is really in danger!!! The UFO logo is fun, and the toy looks really nice with the classics Jumbos. Maybe, one of the most interesting with Titan in this Italian line.

Can anyone remember when the last time a Battle Fever J even came up for auction (E-Bay or Y!J)?
I think I'd be tempted to trade my entire Jumbo Collection (which isn't really saying much) just to acquire a Battle Fever J. I would then set out to re-acquire what I had traded as I think it would be much easier finding 10 or 11 less obscure Jumbos than it would be to find one BFJ.
Who on this forum has one? If so, can you post a pic? Thx

Hi bro,
RF's JM is so rare in the past 2 years that I cant really rem the last price of battle fever robot that appear in ebay...
G7 was closed US$1675 recently in ebay loose without box...
maybe that can be a reference but not too sure G7 or Battle Fever is more sought after...
Personally I prefer the G7 though ....it can be converted to a kiddy ride ;D

I would think that the Battle Fever would easily exceed the $1675 price that the Tryder G7 sold for. I know that i'd be willing to go much higher than that for a nice BFJ jumbo (hint, hint, if there is anyone out there with one).

Something like 3 of them sold on YJP since January. One loose but nice for 87.000 Yens, then one missing one leg for 40.000 Yens and finally, a boxed one in good condition for 114.000 Yens, the last one ended quite low for a boxed one, well, I was expecting him to end higher and I should have go for it since I miss that guy too. I've pass on a really nice one loose a couple years back for 600$, back then I was not interested and it was not that hard ot find them boxed, whish I would have gone for it now... Don't need to sell all you collection for it, just be patient and save some money and it will come, patience is the main key for collecting JM, or a mega huge wallet but even with one that comes out of your pocket, you still need to be patient

I have a huge problem then; little money and no patience!! I am happy to learn that Battle Fever J has appeared on Yahoo Japan 3x's last year! I would have thought that it never showed up. I will watch more intently now! Thanks

Battle Fever was my all-time #1 want for years. I first saw a picture of him in 1997 on toyboxdx and it actually turned me off jumbos because I thought, "if I can't ever get that beautiful, rare jumbo, then I should just throw in the towel and not get any of them."
in 2008, there was a battle fever MIB on ebay ALL THE TIME. no one bought it. it was listed at $1,700 or $1,800 BIN if I recall correctly. I was hoping for a loose one that was cheaper at the time and was holding out for that.
$1,700 was crazy money for it then. We all looked at it, cried a little and moved on.
I began planning to sell large chunks of my collection to make that $1,700 and when I finally resolved to do it, they took him off ebay. I waited too long.
A year later, he showed back up on YahooJapan for a similar price and hung around there for a couple of months. No one bit.
That's the one I bought- I sold a BUNCH of stuff to pay for it. All my chogokins. But never has something been more worth it. It's the only MIB, never assembled jumbo I've ever purchased. Putting it together the first time was a religious experience.
As Ferris Bueller would say, "If you have the means, I highly recommend it. It is so choice."

Awesome story Christ! I think Battle Fever J will exceed the $3000 sticker price if it showed up today on Yahoo Japan or E-Bay. There is a seller on E-Bay now with an incomplete Danguard Ace who is starting the bid at $7000. I think the price is just crazy for an incomplete, missing stickers, no box, Danguard Ace.
Hopefully, sooner or later there will be a serious player in the Jumbo game who will want to liquidate their collection. It will be an expensive venture but at a certain point, can Jumbo's keep climbing in price? Seems that 2007-2008 prices are about double now.

I think the REAL prices are dropping, now there is always the FAKE price..7,000.00 for Danguard ace...yeah right !!!! Or 10,000.00 for a boxed T17 on Ebay, I even seen godzilla listed for 600.00 with no box, I wrote the guy, and said I thought the price was a bit high....His thoughts were, " Well 2 years ago, i seen them being sold for 400.00, and mine should actually be worth 900.00 now, so your getting it at a steal for 600.00....WHAT ? When someone has the guts to list a rare JM at a .99 starting price, then you will see the REAL price, not the price someone feels their item is worth, sometimes I think people list their jM's at a sky high price, just to show them off...and hey if some richey rich has that type of cash, well then I don't mind selling it, I have a treasured Hot wheel redline, that I will not sell....unless someone gives me some crazy cash for it, even though its only worth 25.00 now, Prices are really dropping on ebay, now is the time to buy...but I don't have any green ? When I do have money, I have to pay out the ass for anything I want.....I just seen 3 JM's sell for 202.50, and one was diamos , Gaiking, and 1st edition Mazinga....I thought that was a great deal, or am I nut's

Hi lexcars,
I cant agree more, thats why I always look at completed listing and in addition , the pattern of bidding, and whether the item is relisted a few mths later by the same seller - to fish out shill bidding. The REAL price is also what I always wanted to know, thus when I list my JM's it is always at $0.99 and i let it run on its own till the end. I am curious about the MARKET RATE and also it will be good as a bench mark for other collectors as reference when they plan for a JM. I might lose $ if the JM close at suprisingly low price, but then it is also good from another angle..means I have been over paying and need to be slapped.
Lastly, YJ is also a good reference as I always trust the Japanese when i worked with them..unless times have changed ;D
