that dangard ace for 7k. i emailed that fool and offered some amount of money. idiot replied to me trying to say he was going to "sell it easily" on YJ as it never came out in japan. with just a little research some people could seem a lot less stupid.
prices are dropping. market is dead. i think the JM collectors (like me and you) are the last to get the news.
YJ isnt even the best place to shop. if youre looking to score a few popy versions, fly to japan. i promise to come back with a good bounty after going to my kinda brothers wedding in november.

Haha this 7k dangard ace seller's research is not deep enough then...I remembered i was chatting with rodman75 regarding the last Dangard Ace in YJ closed suprisingly low at 281k yen which comes with box and quite complete...now this seller claim he can easily sell at YJ for that kind of $....hmmm..
On a personal note, I feel the market is not that dead...still depends on the make and which piece we are talking about...MIB liger was closed with a BIN price US$2500 (dunno how REAL that is) and the voltes JM from australia at US$6k...
I cant imagine a SPAZER JM or a GETTA 3 JM suddenly appear in ebay now...i think i will faint... ;D

Wow Polomilotata! Are these RF's mint in the box? Have you ever opened them or assembled them? Are you looking to sell any of them? Please let us know. What other JM's do you have? Any chance of seeing a group photo? If you aren't interested in selling, how about trading for other Jumbos?

@ polomilotata: How long have you owned these? I understand that you wouldn't want to trade or sell them. It's still awesome for me just to look at them. That's what I love about this hobby; you can receive satisfaction just by looking at someone else's jumbo machinders. How long have you been collecting?

agreed, thanks so much for posting such great items MIB. i dont know of anyone who has such stuff. always excited to see what i dont have, lol. congratulations on such great collection pieces.
as for the dangard ace guy on ebay asking 7k, i wouldnt have called him a fool if he wasnt such a jerk. we corresponded by email a few times and each time he was very confrontational and preemptive.
i tried to tell him nicely, "uhhh, ive seen this thing in japan for about a thousand bucks. its not so exceedingly rare that a collector cant have one."
his answer? "it is, too!"
oh well, dangard ace is one of my favorites, and i hope he enjoys it very much since hes not going to sell it anytime soon. maybe he will realize how cool it is and become a member here and apologize profusely for being so unfriendly.

It is heart warming to see that such RFJM still exist at one corner of the world, it is like seeing a rare specimen on national geographic.. thank you for the pics.
Personal note, it is very hard to find a MIB UNASSEMBLED RFJM as COMPARED TO A MIB POPY PIECES i feel...who would have bought it back in the 70s and not assemble and played with it? I think only 1% possibility....

I agree DOE! To see that it's never been opened takes a remarkable level of self discipline. I would've tore that thing open and proudly displayed it. What is more amazing is that there are probably more serious collectors out there like Polomilotata who never even join proboards like this. We here at RJ only represent a very small percentage of serious JM collectors. 1oldrobot; The seller of Danguard Ace will only sell his JM if he drops his price to something more reasonable. I'm sure he's in no rush to sell and is waiting for that one buyer who has the funds and has been waiting for such a long time to acquire a Danguard Ace. I for one, am sick of seeing him relist the thing week after week with a starting bid of $7000. He should try setting a reserve price and then let the market tell him what its worth. Like DOE said earlier, a much better condition Danguard Ace in a very good box sold on YJ for 281000yen a while back. He'll show us though......yeah right!

Thanks guys! I started collecting seriously about 3 years ago. Been japanese toys lover all my love. After i dug out my old collections i realizes how wonderful our childhood is & decided to continue my passion. I mainly collect japanese toys circa late 70s to late 80s. I don't collect toys that beyond my childhood. Tried my best to collect MIB or MISB stuffs (dead stock is my favorite). Will share some JMs in this forum shortly.
