Damn.. i missed this one. But I wasn't really sure I wanted it anyways. Guess the internet decided for me. Looks interesting but I was never a fan of the VF-17 style. I like the VF-25 way more.

Timmy, I'm in the same boat as you are, not sure whether I really want it, but the 5 minute opening window in the middle of the night really makes it impossible to get. It's one thing for pre-orders to fill up within a day or so, that way people have a realistic chance of getting one. 5-minute window? Heck even during a weekend when I happen to have nothing going on that would be pretty impossible to get a pre-order in.
I am intrigued by the VF-17 design, maybe I'll just get the Yammy one at some point down the line.

Are they making less and lss each time, or is this just getting super popular?

No I just think the popularity is just rising, in fact I bet the allotted amount to web stores is the same as usual but actual stores are just ordering more. People want to get that pre-order discount so their scooping it up as fast as possible, probably ordering the max amount and having customers from around the world eats up their allotted amount fast.

I think bandai is making less, which drives up the demand because people are afraid to miss out. With the YF-29 or the renewal, once you miss the pre-order you are doomed o the aftermarket prices. I think bandai is taking a new marketing strategy.

Maybe but people forget these are part of the DX line they were never meant to be made in the hundreds of thousands. The production run on these is in the SOC numbers and not say the Robot Spirit line just based on what these toys are. Its safe for Bandai to put a cap on production to limit loses and when there's sufficient demand start another production run which they have done. It just takes time to finish the current run then switch production for another figure. I'm betting the production run on these is the same as say a Yamato Valk but because Frontier is the newest and hottest Macross franchise in awhile people from all over the world are trying to buy what is essentially a Japan only toy.

Miss the per-order. I guess that is bandai's loss!!!

If you look closely, Bandai's showing off the landing gear, open cockpit, and the gunpod which stores on the outside (unlike the VF-17).

Am i the only person who thinks this is actually pretty dumb looking? im ok to pass on this one. I dont mind the jet mode but the robot mode is boring as can be.
