Yup. Do a search at amiami for all the GL Revoltechs and tell me what average price you find.... I just did a search for "Revoltech" and "Super Robot Chogokin", not anything specific or that was released a long time ago. I don't think there are any Revoltechs at the 2000 yen price anymore, other than the Pixars and similar crap... ;D }D My reply was Gurren Lagann Revoltechs specific, its not that hard to search. But I'll leave this friendly argument as is, as I see no point continuing after stating what I hope the toyline would be. The future of SRC is in your hands now! Sarabada tomoyo!!! ;D |

Some of the Revoltech prices on ebay are totally outrageous, they got Revoltech 001 Getters for $150 on there.. I got one of those just a few months ago for $21, who are they kidding?

that is crazy!!!!! i also was thinking that revos were only half the price of the srcs but i was obviously wrong! when did the revoltech plastic figures become so expensive anyway? of course i will take an src over a revoltech if it is only $10 dollars more, it would be crazy not to do so.

they got guys out there trying to make money off of the weak or stupid.. no way can a Revoltech be worth more than 60 US Dollars...I would never pay $100 for a figure like that.. no metal at all and they made many of them.

Comparing Revoltechs to SRCs is like comparing a screen door to a submarine... and we all know which one will keep the water out! ;D The prices you see for Revoltechs on eBay doesn't necessarily reflect the realistic value of Revoltechs sold in stores like Amiami, HLJ and BBTS (to name a few). Some eBay vendors will sucker the highest dollar from the dumbest fool who's willing to depart with his money falling for the vendor's outrageously Exaggerated eBay auction ads. Anyway, now we're talkin (or speculating) about future SRCs to come. That's a nice thing to ponder...... ...Hey, wanna have your mind blown outta yer socks for the next future SRCs? Here's how: Do NOT expect any future SRCs. That's right... don't expect your favorite robot coming down the pike just yet. Close your eyes and pretend this isn't happening. Don't anticipate any future SRCs... just Forget about them! That way, when a favorite robot or character comes up out of nowhere as an SRC, the "Wow!" factor will truly blow your mind and beat yer azz down. but i wasnt talking about ebay prices i know those are always crazy! i was talking about the prices of revos and src in amiami, because they are very close to each other. the revos have gotten very expensive now, even with amiami discounts!!!!

Hey Tony, I think I read that you didnt have any SRCs yet? Am I right? I just got my SRC Great Mazinger in, I feel stupid for holding off on it.. if the Mazinger Z was a "really good" Bandai, the Great Mazinger is a "OUTSTANDING" Bandai product. It looks like a SOC, it moves like new SOC but can assume a pose that rivals Revoltech in "attitude".. and the "in the hand feel" is outstanding, really easy to handle... none of that crappy Revoltech "fighting the joints" feel. My Revoltech Getters all LOOK Great, but they feel terrible! I hate to pose them, I always feel like Im on the edge of breaking a revoltech joint..Im gonna get the rest of the getters then thats IT, IM DONE with Revoltech. Im going to pre-order SRC Shin Mazinger with that God Scrander and then I think Im gonna break-down and get that MT01 Grendy with Spazer... I hate the games they played with the MT01 but I dont think a SRC Grendizer will be coming any time soon...I gotta scratch that Grendizer itch.
watch!,... Ill drop 150 for that kit and Bandai releases Grendy two weeks later! hahah

The SRCs are all great! The Great Mazinger was very good, with the exception of the tiny head. I was able to fix that on mine by making a custom head for it, and closed Scramble Dash, and now it is only second to my most favorite SRC of all - Mazinger Z. ;D Get the High Dream Grendizer Set. It goes perfect with the SRC Mazingers and it is not such a bad figure as many think it is. Give it a shot, you will not be dissapointed! }D |

MazingerZ Yeah.. I see that "head issue" the jet Pilder is tiny too.. the whole thing is smaller than Z's head, thats for sure.. but still, it looks great.. I think Bandai went with that to make GM look broader in the chest..Im not sure its "wrong", its just "stylized". Ive noticed that in both anime and manga, scale and proportions of these guys tends to change with the emotional level of the scene that they are in anyway..

@ MazingerZ. You still cast those scramble dash units? Id be interested. I've got a cast that didn't come out the color I wanted but otherwise is pretty much perfect. If you are willing to paint it (spray paint is the easiest) you can have it for the price of shipping. I got several other casts, but they suffered from air bubbles in the casting process. They could be fixed and made perfect, but I just don't want to spend the extra time... ;D }D }D |

there should be a law against that! is like the photatomic institute pictures that bandai had when they came up with the src line, that never got done either!!!!!!! i am still very angry that the set number 2 of mazinger and great mazinger weapons was never made! that is like false advertising i think.  |

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. It would've been sweet if they ever did roll out the Institute as a playset or something (at this point I'd even settle for a cardboard backdrop).

I remember that, but I pretty much wrote it off right away. I thought it was either going to be too small in scale with the SRCs or it was going to be a crazy limited release for a contest with only a few or just ONE made - of course, making it impossible for us foreigners to get, even if we had the money for it...  }D |

But that gives me an idea... I've seen awesome custom work done by a few members here, from 6 foot Super Robot Statues, to incredible papercrafts, to better than original repro parts and decals, to highly intricate figures made from scratch. Anyone willing to take on the challenge of making a styrene/cardboard/plastic/wood Mazinger Z Photoatomic Institute? I'm sure if someone does, they will be swamped with orders from many of us here. A good way to make some money I think...

i think the most affordable will be if someone designs it in like a cad program so the pieces can be printed on posterboards at kinkos and then glued together like the paper buildings that can be found online. that way the mazinger base can be made to scale with it and will not send you to bankrupcy!!!!!!!
