Ehhhh... I'll pass. Anything else worth spending some hard earned cash coming up, other than the mighty Daizyujin? So far it has not been a very exciting year in the SRC line for me... }|

SRC should be renamed SYC Super Yawnsville Chogokin .SRC is becoming quite dull.If it werent for the Mazingers and MAYBE 2 or 3 others,Id hold zero interest. I guess hoping for actual Super Robots to come out in this line{70s,80s},or at least 80's Super Sentai is a wasted dream.Ive given up ..this line is geared toward a different fanbase than myself or alot of people here Im guessing. They really should call this line Modern Gokin Robots, these arent Super Robots that I know and love, and Bandai misinformed us when they put out those first few brilliant pics of Mazinger bases, and a weapons set 2,which is obviously WELL OVERDUE!instead we get robots with Amtraks stuck on thieir shoulders uggh.
Guys you are gonna turn blue waiting for a Grendizer mark my words, this line is WAY FAR away from that notion.
BTW there is so much Green in this line.Green is not a color I think of when I think of Super Robots.

I don't mind the release of other robots, like Sentai, Modern, or Gaming genre under the SRC line. What does bother me is the fact that it seems the Super Robot Chogokin line is neglecting the true Super Robots. SRC started off in an awesome way, they released a Classic Super Robot (Mazinger Z) and a Modern SRWOG Mecha (Alteisen) simultaniously. Why did Bandai move away from that concept, we will never know. But it would be great if the SRC releases were always of a Classic Super Robot AND whatever flavor other type of mecha they choose. That way collectors could pick and choose from a greater variety other than the "flavor of the month" releases Bandai is pumping out these days... }D

Personally I don't mind the "mixed bag" selection of characters so far, at least they're catering to various fanbases and not just classic bots. I'm a huge Brave series fan, but I'm no Sentai fan, does it bother me that the line has Sentai? No, plus, it turned out to be a good thing, as it made me go selective with this figure line, I didn't go "completist" like with the SOC line and just got what I wanted and it saved a huge bundle of cash on skipping the Sentais, the ridiculous Mazinger repaints, the redone Reideen.
I would buy an SRC Grendizer if they ever made one but sad to say, somehow I think (and this is just me) classic bots are done on a certain level. Most of today's kids, even in Japan, hardly even know the old school 70's 80's bots, let alone want to buy expensive toys of them, which I think is why Bandai is shifting focus from that era to the later 80's-90's characters. After all, no demand = no sales.

Knock yourselves out. Unfortunately, I'm gonna start treating the SRC line just like I do Kaiyodo's Revoltech line. Won't be supporting them much anymore unless they start releasing Super Robot Chogokins that catch my interest. In the meantime, I'll be putting the extra funds to other uses, like paying off credit cards and such. }D

i also stopped buying the src that are not classic robots like mazinger. my last purchase was for a kokubogar. and im also angry that the weapon set for mazinger and great mazinger never got released, so i will not give bandai money for robots i do not want again.

Looks like the tri-stand will come with those who pre-order Might Gain or the re-release of Gaogaigar.

SRC has certainly offered a wide variety but I cant see folks continually buying smaller versions older SOC. I did it too but stopped. Besides interests change over time.
That and i really miss the higher metal content

In my eyes, the sad truth seems to be I (we) have grown too old to be a reasonable buying force for Bandai. Gold is right.
The undeniable trend is to milk cartoons/sentais released after 1990, leaving the bulk of very few "minor" characters from the classic era that still have to get the "SOC treatment" in the greasy and shaky hands of smaller companies...
If all I'm left to looking forward to is the latest news from CM's or High Dream, well, I'm peacefully looking at the end of my contemporary mecha collection...

I only collect Super Robots from pre-1984.So SRC is lost to me as they have been doing nothing but. As far as them doing other things BESIDES the classics?Well they dont even do the classics!,nor have they really ever done them besides Reideen and Great Mazinger. The Mazingers are all hybrids really even the first one its liek a shin/classic meld, although I DO like olit alot.I only own 4 SRCs,3 I like and one I got for free. Im also going to dare to say Grendy will never appear in this line, nor any other classics. We would all love that, but not going to happen in my opinion.

Good Lord...! Another repaint of the first SRC - Mazinger Z. With that one I think it is up to four repaints so far? Let's count them: Original, SKL, Red and Gold Dinnerware, and now this one. When it comes to repaints, Aoshima has nothing on Bandai! }D

Its a mix of devilman and Maz note the stomach paint and the eyes, the hint is the logo below.Very silly outing from Bandai, and BTW it will be a flop, same weird paint as the red Energer which was also a flop. They should have done a normal white limbed Maz as a reprsentation of the 40th anniversary, agree Mazingers?

omg, youre correct, it is a devilman colored mazinger! to me it looks a lot better than the chinese restaurant plates colored mazinger, but i will not get any of them. it is a stupid idea from bandai to come up with so many repaints of the same figure!!!!
