Gundam Battle Operation PS3

Looks like a new free to play/free to download Gundam online game is headed to the PS3 this summer. Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation.

Seems to be a direct download from the PS3 on the Japan Sony Entertainment Network or PSN.

Right now I believe slots can be reserved now for closed beta testing on 3/29-31. I went to Japan PSN and sent a request to reserve, but we'll see if being a gaijin sets me at a disadvantage.

Yeah, true that. I think it looks very good actually. Kinda reminds me of Federation Vs Zeon from 2001 with some cover and roll mechanics worked in for good measure.

Can't wait to try it out.

Awww! We have a DATE! June TWO-EIGHT!

Sorry, just very excited. That's 6/28 for a release on the PS3 console.

EDIT: Looks like the games is already up for pre-reg players. 6/28 for scrubs....teehee!

EDIT^2: OK, it looks like the game is not quite up yet, but pre-registration begins today! Then on launch date 6/28 you get a bonus MS or something for advance registration....oh wow, can't wait to get into this.

Better play a little bit of Gundam Senki 0081 to tide myself over!

It's out, gang! It's not bad either.

The controls take some getting used to. No auto-lock-on and melee kind of sucks. Graphics are legit though. Menu is in Japanese, but it's still doable.

Tried it. Grpahics seem ps2 ish and gameplay not as fun
