I'm sorry to hear that Rikitiki.
Well I'm gonna hold my judgement till I get my Exia, but if samething happens to mine than I 'm not going to be happy either. What happen to Rikitki sounds ridiculous and there is no excuse for ANY figure to go THAT loose after few poses....

Good point supergetterv regarding not treating them like RD's. I find that the joints on most of the Bandai-made figures that I have become loose over time by either leaving them in dynamic poses or if you leave them posed with heavy equipment, just like the Seven Swords' huge shield when attached to the left shoulder side. Leaving the shield weights the figure down on its left side and may eventually loosen the waist articulation. Might be a good idea to invest in RD equivalents of the higher priced figures or either quit the latter altogether.
It's interesting to note that the waist joint on the metal build freedom gundam is a LOT tighter than my issue of the metal build 7 swords. I wouldn't be surprised if that was in response to customer feedback about the 7 swords.
Edit: My Metal Composite Unicorn, on the other hand, has fared a lot better than my Metal Build Seven Swords. All joints are still tight, with the exception of the right gun-holding fist. It came out of the box not being able to hold the gun steady without the fist drooping. It wasn't a huge deal for me since I loved the way it looked with the double gatling gun anway

greengetterguy, i'm hopeful for the exia since they seem to be issuing tighter joints on the newer metal builds. at the end of the day, i think these figures are more for display rather than figures that can withstand a good number of posing.

I just got mine today - this thing is killer! This thing's definitely better than the GFFMC RX-78-2, Unicorn, Freedom and Zeta Plus that I have. I can't wait for the 00 and Psycho Gundam re-releases!

I can't wait for mine then. I also Pre-Oed Psycho but passed on OO. Since OO looks SO close to Exia in basic design, I'm gonna spend the money on CMs Grendy. Vendetta, I'm glad your copy's awesome. When you get a chance can you please post a pic or two and your impression?

Thank you. I am sure you enjoyed the feeling of holding this piece as well. He's really heavy and solid! Some joints may seem that they will loosen with too much play but I hardly move them after posing them so it should last for a while. =)

Thanks for the review Charles. I love my MB Exia and the metal build line in general. Bandai's best high end gundam toy line.

Can't wait to receive mine in a couple of day. From the reviews, it is safe to say that the quality build of this release is on par and or better than that of the Seven sword Double O. Put to rest most of the concerns that people have thinking the QC in the metal build line has slip due to the poor QC on a lot of them MB Freedoms.

Nice review Charles. I usually check out your reviews before I purchase a Metal Build or GFFMC.

Here's a quick snap with the phone (pretty boring pose): Here it is with Freedom: It has a very satisfying heft, and it's really neat that it comes with the parts to convert it to the Repair III. It's my favorite MB, though I've yet to handle the OO and Psyco Gundams.

anyone could comment on the weight of Exia comparing to freedom? I am still on the fence for Exia after somewhat disappointing freedom purchase.
anyone got pictures of most recent metal build gundam picture comparison side by side? like maybe 1005 to most recent exia?

anyone could comment on the weight of Exia comparing to freedom? I am still on the fence for Exia after somewhat disappointing freedom purchase. anyone got pictures of most recent metal build gundam picture comparison side by side? like maybe 1005 to most recent exia? I can try to do it tonight. Still don't have the time to do so cause of personal problems. Maybe tonight I will get to sit down and enjoy it. But from what little time I had with mines, I say you don't have to worry about the paint problems that the Freedom has. It is as if they used two totally different factories. Personally, I can't compared the MB Freedom to the Exia cause I didn't buy the Freedom. I never like the design of the Freedom and didn't care for the MB. But I can say that the MB Exia looks just as good as the MB Double O which I do have. Off the top of my head, the Exia is way smaller compared to the GFFMC 1005. I have my 1005 Zeta plus in the Bst mode so it is way bigger. Again I will see if I will have the time tonight to snap a couple of pictures.
