This is a Taito 12" vinyl Geter one that I picked up cheap off of ebay that Im modding out to Black Getter mode. I painted it, then decided to do some body mods with sculpey.. still alot to do on it but this is what Ive got so far.

custom getter axe more to scale than what it came with.. removable also.

only thing left to do is sand all the white and green sculpey and paint it to match the colorscheme. the white on the chest will be pained black to look like the Black Getter's chest arrangement.. blades and facemask will be silver and black.

he's dirty in these photos and some of the paint that I did got damaged but Ill repaint him after I take a dremel tool to those kneepads and that face mask.. gonna smooth those knee plates out alot.. another few days and he will be done.. go going clubbing tonight and Im done working on him for now..

making good progress on his knee pads.. at this rate Ill have him done in a few days.. I plan to top the whole thing off in water based clear-coat. I aim to have him on the level of a FLOSR.. but lets see, this is my first attempt.

Black Getter I finished a few weeks ago, had a problem though and I gotta re-do it. For some reason the gloss bubbled up on the back of the legs and parts of it got sicky. I think my gf had a open bottle of nail polish remover near it for a few days. Oh well..

yeah... sucks bc I had him looking real good.. whats a good solution to remove acrylic clear? Maybe mineral sprits?

Came out great! Too bad about the stickiness. You can use alcohol (91% rubbing alcohol) to remove the acrylic paint. Good luck and keep us posted!  }D |
