Same here I love the SOC Gaiking but the legs are so damn touchy its not fun playing with it and Atranger is one of those designs I recognize and even made a plastic model of it as a kid but never imagined owning a nice toy of it till now.

I will definitely go for the Koutetsushin Jeeg, and maybe Atlanger, maybe. Will totally skip Gaiking, but will definitely get Gaiking The Great which was also announce, along with Tetsujin 28 (IronMan 28). }D

They're gonna make Gaiking almost as tall as GX-27, and then a same scale Daikumaryu. Interesting...

Looks good a little plasticky but good, but a in-scale Daiku Maryu is my dream but I shutter to think of the cost. Maybe it will be a vinyl or a partial model kit to lower costs.

yeah ... too plasticy for my taste and the price ! I don't see why he have metalic ball joints? is it going to be like jeeg? magnets? but gaiking don't need magnets?

Yeah looking at the pics it looks like it might have magnetic joints for the forearms and lower legs probably because of the parts swapping for the powered up form. Might have to rethink this because I'm not a fan of magnetic joints and just use that money for Daiku Maryu if it turns out nice and not to expensive.

It is magnetic, just like their Jeeg. It may also be all plastic, or mostly plastic, but that we'll have to wait and see since they advertise diecast in the figure's content (hopefully they don't mean the steel balls for the magnetic joints) ;D I'm on the fence on this one. It is pricey and I already have the SOC and GE-10 Gaikings. The Dayku Maryu is the only thing that may sway me to buy the Gaiking - that is, if its price is somewhat affordable (less than $400 USD)... }D

If it is anything like the Koutetsu Jeeg, it is going to be a very good figure. However, the metal content of the Jeeg is pretty much limited to the steel balls and magnets. For a figure so expensive it is a bit of a letdown. However, in the event Evolution Toys really decides to make the Dayku Maryu, I didn't want to get caught without the Gaiking to go with it. I still have my doubts the Gaiking-scaled Dayku Maryu will see the light of day, even as a limited release (>$400 USD price tag), but you really never know.... }D
