Machine Robo Power Suits

While the Gobots had Grungy and Courageous combining Power Suits ( www.toyarchive.com/Gobots/Combiners/PowerSuits.html ), Japan had at least one other. This:






The main body forms into a spaceship:




Each part can contain smaller figures, but they all combine into a giant robot:

the red power suit is a japan release along with a very rare Nemesis Land Warrior 5 power suit.

along with the blue and black power suits released for the american market in total 4 power suits were released. if there is a few more, then i am happy to be corrected

Ahh, very nice collection! I still need to get the other two. Do you know of any differences between the American and Japanese releases of the Grungy and Courageous?

Also, not sure if you saw this, but this might interest you. There were also some TNMT-related bootleg toys based on this. I'll have to dig up the photos.

those metal robots look pretty cool.

yes, i've come across this bootleg before. almost bought one, but relieved that another bidder beat me to winning the auction.

i reasoned that the quality between the two didn't warrant buying the copy when the real McCoy is sooooo good!

mainly the blue to red colour difference, to be honest between the grungy and japan release. by the way, the same red colour was released for the european toy.
