Hey guys, i know that these two are pretty much at the same price point now but if you had a choice between the two, which would you pick? They're both really awesome and I'm torn between the two.

I have the YF-29 and its pretty nice, its suppose to be better than the previous DX's but not as good as the current V2 VF-25's and 171's. If I had a choice get the 29 cuz I have a feeling the 27 will get re-done.

I know the first VF 25s sort of sucked and that the YF 29 was the precursor of the VF 25 renewals. |

Its sorta in-between its better then the V1 VF-25's but not as good as the YF-29. You can see a steady progression with each release in the design and build quality of every new DX Bandai releases.

The VF-27 is kinda boring and has a crappy Gerwalk mode. It looks great as a jet, but not much more. Get the YF-29, it's gorgeous.

As much as I like my VF 27, I agree with the previous sentiments. get the YF 29. I have both and I think they are both great but the YF 29 is the better choice between the two. Looks fantastic and is that one step better than the 27 in it's build.

Yes. But most preorders were sold out again as soon as they became available.

Other than the crazily marked up listing of YF-29 at BBTS, I've never seen any preorders available. I'm still looking out for one too. Not looking very positive at this point.

Very few did. The preorders at those places were only open for a few minutes before selling out.

tough choice, but i'll go for the YF-29, which i feel is better looking overall and have a nicer looking head.

Well unfortunately, the retailers I've ordered from giving me a somewhat lower price than eBay on either was unfruitful since they cancelled them due to lack of stock. How does US$207 sound for a VF171EX preorder?

yup, sounds about right, got my preorder around that price too. Nice! I've read in the VF 171EX thread where it shot up to $230 and sold out immediately. Luckily the place I bought my VF 25 super parts opened preorders. |
