"frog tape to cover the detolf openings at the doors currently" Tell me more?! I use the new green frog tape, its like a painters tape that is easily removable and re-appliable.I use it to keep dust out.It really seals the IKEAS ofcourse when you want to show off the collection, just remove it,but for evryday purposes it seals the dust out and its easy to get in and out of the detolf as you can restick it sevral times, like 25times before you need new tape. You can also use 3m blue painters tape, just DONT use normal masking tape it leaves residue, these tapes do not.Oh make sure you get the thin width type for door openings, you dont want it too wide.Just tear a strip that fits all 4 sides of the door then stick teh tape right over the open edges !

When it comes to protecting figures from dust, and keeping them inside protective cases, that man Baron seriously aint no joke! He dished me an ass-whoopin recently when I sent him a couple Revoltech figures... and I learned my lesson about taking better care of my figures.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I should have taken BETTER care of my collection early on when I started out in this hobby, especially since I smoke. Thanks to Baron, I now realize the seriousness of cigarette odor affecting figures even when they've been boxed in storage for a while.
I still smoke, but I now run a fan in my window to suck the smoke out of my room-- since I live self-contained I do Everything in my own room (internet, my hobbies, and my figures, everyday living ... due to living with roommates in a three-bedroom house).
As I speak, my local hardware store STILL HAS NOT restocked the white case I asked for. So now, I gotta keep my figs inside a cabinet dresser to protect them from my cigarette smoke, until my case arrives. I only take my figs out for photo shoots for the time being.
Eventually, I will reach the Collector level of keeping my figs inside glass cases the way most of you folks are doing. As for my smoking habit, it's part of my rebellious nature against the political mainstream society-- therefore I aint quitting. But, I will take better care of my collection.
I apologize for straying off-topic, I just wanted to vent this tid-bit outta my system.

You should quit smoking bro, seriously. You know how bad it is for your health, specially as we get older. Not only that, the second-hand smoke is bad for the folks around, and a whole lot worse for those that don't smoke - like children. As you also mentioned, it is bad for your collection, and it is really bad for the wallet, as cigarettes are not cheap. If you must have a vice, make it drinking lots of water all the time, all day long. ;D It's cheap, keeps you from getting hungry, cleans out the internal piping, and doesn't harm those around you. Just my two cents bro. }D

Mag, I know some ppl who went on diets to buy toys. How many packets of smokes would equate to a DX Max? How many days would that be?
The water vice isn't bad, but just don't so much that you'll get poisoned.

Mag, I know it's hard. As an ex smoker, from my experience, if you have friends who smoke that's an uphill battle right there..right? Than "YOU" have to really want to quit. Just keep trying but don't stress if you fail again and again. Meanwhile main thing is not to get stress over it, smoke all you want.
I myself feels great but I spend more money on coffee now. Mag bro, for you and your loved one around you, I hope and pray you kick the habit someday soon. We OverTheHill bros only have around what 20 to 30 Christmases left if we're lucky. Let's make it longer so we can enjoy MORE robots.
We're laying on you because you're our bro and we care.

Thanks, guys. I've tried quitting cold-turkey on several occasions, and then went right back to smoking. I don't wanna rely on patches nor gums of that sort. Tried the E-cigarette, and it tastes Ugly and the USB recharge doesn't last more than a few puffs.
I smoke little cigars (Cheyennes, or Smokers Choice) because they're milder for me than average cigarettes, and they don't leave any residue after the smoke clears. But still, smoke is smoke.
I quit smoking pot twenty years ago because I found it to be boring, especially when I still had to exert energy working as a Bike Messenger back in those days (downtown LA). Wish I could take that same attitude towards smoking so that I can quit easily.
I stopped drinking ever since the indoor Smoking Ban (Bars and Restaurants) went into effect ten years ago here in NY State. I still drink once in a while, but I don't vice it. And I don't miss it. Wish I had That attitude towards smoking as well.
I used to smoke as much as three packs a day, because I get my smokes very cheap. Now I'm down to a pack every couple days so that I can reduce chain-smoking to just a cigarette once every couple hours or longer. Just taking a few baby steps at a time until I realize I've been quitting smoking.

You were in the armed services, right. Well, you know in boot-camp recruits are not allowed to smoke, and there's hell to be paid if they are caught doing so. It is a shock for many recruits when they report in for the two to three months of basic training, but there is no turning back. So they all basically quit (forcefully quit) cold-turkey. I would guess that if you put yourself in that same frame of mind it would be a little easier to achieve the goal. And as it was posted before, we are just posting these comments because we sincerely care. }D

TMZ, you're Too late..... I smoked in boot camp during breaks, bivouacs, and whatever free time I had. I guess recruits aren't allowed to smoke during bootcamp training nowadays, since Smoking is banned from any government facility. I appreciate everyone's concern, again Thanks. What I should be doing now is concentrate on going after this DX Maz. I'm still waiting for my Tax refund. lol zozo-mag You were in the armed services, right. Ouch. Just a bit too wide for a Detolf, then. That explains why I haven't seen the hangar inside one, eh.
Thanks.

Tricks of the trade! LMAO - I'm here buffing and shining with wax. I figured it would create some type of anti-static barrier to prevent too much of the dust from getting on them. Good stuff. Thanks.
