nice review about the scrander add on set optimusprimesg, although it looks nice on the figure it doesn't help it much to make it more awesome because of some of the issues of the figure it has specially on those damn terrible elbows design.
that was so annoying, i was about to jump into the screen and glue the damn thing.

Really? 45cm, that's all? Wow, I must've over-speculated. 45cm is about just 18 inches! Just because I'm only looking at pics of the hangar posted here, I assumed perhaps it would span about 2.5 to almost 3ft wide with the doors fully opened. lol My bad math guess. zozo-mag How wide is the hangar when it's open? 45cm with both doors wide open. }D

LOL I am so tempted to use super glue on the elbows even. But that would be a permanent fixture. And I guess you can tell from my voice during the video on how frustrated I was with those elbows. frustrated to the extent of being exasperated.

I feel awful for you Charles, wow were your friends elbows on his Maz in the first review as loose as your actual Mazinger? Both sets you handled seem to be very loose. They come off easy as a rule, but the 2 DX I own arent nearly as bad,i dont articulate mine alot,I know you like to pose yours alot, for videos etc, mayeb they weakened? Anyone else have such loose arms?

Sometimes plastic parts tend to wear away a bit, due to friction between them, when posing figures all the time. That's why toys end up floppy after kids seriously play with them constantly. The DX Maz aint no toy... it's a Collectors Grade specimen for us big Kids! zozo-mag

I keep thinking of placing small rare earth magnets in each of the "elbow chambers". Not sure if it would help but I suspect it would

I haven't had any problems with neither of my DX Mazinger's elbows being so loose after I connected them the proper way. You've seen how many pics in different poses I've taken of the one with the custom LED eyes, and I even switched to the Iron Cutters without taking the forearms off. I tell you, there is only one way those forearms go in correctly, and you'll know when they are on good because you'll hear a "snap" like something plastic just broke off... }D

Exactly, but i think charles must have tried every single way if he is this frustrated,he must have heard teh click sound.Possible he got unlucky.I know Ive been unlucky with toys before, its an awful thing. But i just get so aggravated to spare my stress I just buy another one,its better to spend the money and happy than to be stressed out over a toy!It just sucks when teh second one is bad too!Ive had it happen,or realize its just a factory issue that everyone has. Then Im sure others say how can one be stressed over toys?Well collectors who spend alot on them could!

Ya know, when I read about "snaps" as TMZ has described; in most cases an item of parts is designed to Snap into place and/or position. I'm sure if I had gotten my DX Maz anytime sooner and Not known about the "snap" inside the elbow, I would have panicked assuming that I broke my DX when I really Didn't. I'm a skinny guy who happens to be The Hulk when it comes to handling delicate objects. I try to be careful and use common sense AND read the instructions fully before I handle an item; but sometimes I just don't know my own strength, or, I get easily frustrated that I lose my patience with the item.... ...or I just straight-up go all Bi-polar on it! zozo-mag

Remember, it is not a "click", it is a "snap". Literally, it sounds like when you break a plastic chopstick with your hands. Pretty loud. }D

Pretty loud. }D My first set of also have a loose elbow, very very loose elbow. I asked the shop to have my replacement, Good thing that he was in a good mood and he let me choose by myself among the pile of stocks during that time. My replacement set has no more elbow issue, but I dare not to try to play so much with it. Here are the elbow issues on my first set not 1, but 2 elbows...., I also shared this to Charles as well in FB and I had tried so many attempts and magic to have it fixed, but no luck.

Between the yellow band, and the grey machine band, I see a small white thing inside that elbow--- ---looks like a post or something--- is That the snapping part?

That's how they look like when they are not snapped in correctly. }D

I agree with TMZ, when you finally snap the elbow in place, it stays in place nicely... But you need to do it correctly. You need to aling the parts correctly using the indentations on both parts first and you need to bend the elbow to gain access to the red cable plastic bit. Hold the lower arm and push on the red cable until you hear the loud snap
This is not a design issue but an instructions issue. I can attach my forearms in seconds now that I follow the correct procedure and they are never loose

The elbow issue is just that, an issue. It should have been addressed as in "fixed, corrected, or designed better." before it reached the consumers...
"The Correct" way? Come on, I LOVE and respect Bandai, but simple act of connecting a elbow to a LARGE robot figure should not be a rocket science and have a seperate instruction sheet (really Bandai?)

So then, once the elbow is snapped in correctly that white thing in there should NOT be showing, correct? That would close the gap between the elbow and the forearm in that area between those two bands which I described earlier.
