Back to the Scrander Antenna... I was right! It disappears only because of lazy artists drawing the episodes. Here is a capture of Episode 84: I feel relieved... }D

OMG, you are soOo Right! Damn LAZY artists at Dynamic and Toei, they ruined what Could have been a good quality classic anime! The first Gatchaman series shows consistent artwork throughout the entire series, all 105 episodes, unmatched and unrivaled... in fact, it looks just as good as the "MZ vs Ank Daishogun" OVA. And Gatchaman was first broadcasted on TV in 1972! Yuusha Raideen comes in at a close 2nd place for Consistent artwork. Anyway, back to the topic...... the antenna was never shown retracting into the Scrander's hull throughout the MZ's flying episodes. It was either shown or not shown, there or Not there again, due to lazy artists in the studio. zozo-mag Back to the Scrander Antenna... I was right! I noticed something SUPER wierd tonite,I display my little DX pileders{Jet versions} on the base for DX Mazinger that came with the Scrander wings.Underneath BOTH of the little pileders was a tiny wet spot! WTF? I wiped it off and now place the pileders on the glass surface instead, this is wierd! I no longer tape the edges shut of my Detolfs as my new place has little dust, and after 2 weeks none accumulated in the cabinets,so its not like the toys are sweating in there. What could this be? Chemical leaks are being discussed in the Voltes thread right now too is this what it is? The pileders havent changed any, just small sweat spots?NO DAMAGE AT ALL.None were under Mazingers feet or any other part of the toys, just where the pileders touched the base.hmmm? The tiny painted fan under the pileders wasnt affected, nothing, just wet spots! BTW its extra humid today I wonder? LOL... In the process of packing away my collection, I picked up my Jet Pileder today, and it too left three little drops or whatever chemical Bandai used to paint the bottom. I guess it's a good thing I don't leave it docked on Mazinger's head, as it would drain the custom LED eyes battery. }D

That issue should be reported back to Bandai. Is there any possible way to contact Bandai and get their urgent attention to that issue?
I do mean contact Bandai DIRECTLY, because if you go through any U.S. channels the damn Repubelickins will get Nosy, and get involved, and express their "concern" for our "safety", and start their BS banning all imported toys from overseas for "mysterious toxic contents". They WILL invent that reason as an excuse, ya know.
I want my DX without any interference from the damn scrooge Repubelickins. lol

I wonder if collectors, in other toy forums, who also have the DX Maz, are encountering this same or similar unexplained mysterious phenomena? Take it as a Divine Sign from the super-robot god Go Nagai, he had a shaman bless it with a hidden feature. lol... while Virgin Mary statues bleed.... ...Here we have a mysteriously Drippin DX Maz. --Would make a great TV reality show 'ghost' subject for "Haunted Toys"! Question... In the Manga why does the design of Mazinger go back and forth from a shin Mazinger style to classic tv Mazinger throughout the issues? And why did they just have the stranded all of a sudden is book 3 without any introduction on where it came from?

To be honest, I really haven't read any of the Mazinger-Z mangas other than just seeing copies in Spanish (which my younger stepbrother had when we were in our teens)... I had also noticed the difference in Mazinger character designs between manga issues here-n-there, but I never paid attention to it nor questioned it. As Toei acquired the TV broadcasting rights for the Mazinger-Z character, their rendition of Mazinger-Z's body sculpt and armor look modernized compared to Mazinger-Z's original manga body sculpt and armor appearance. The manga version of Mazinger-Z looks kinda retro, from the Astroboy manga era. I don't know how else to describe it. It's okay, but I like the way Toei made him look 'modern' for the TV series. Why did Toei change Mazinger-Z's look? I dunno...... It's first broadcast was in December of 1972. Keep in mind that same year the Gatchaman series was also being broadcasted, and it garnered a large audience, for its visual appeal. Compare Gatchaman with the Mazinger-Z series, visually, and you'll see what I'm obviously referring to.... ...Toei had to keep up with other TV anime shows of that time that also were produced with the same modern visual flair as Gatchaman. To broadcast Mazinger-Z in his original manga character style would have been like playing re-runs of Astroboy or Tetsujin28 over again, and Toei would not have gained such a huge viewing audience. In spite of the many obvious artwork flaws seen in the Mazinger-Z series, the show still became highly successful due to its Concept ( first symbiotic robot, internally piloted by a human via a small aircraft vehicle docking with the robot); Its Character Development ( the story of Koji Kabuto's life development from teen to robot hero, his family, his adversaries, side characters, and his loyal friends); And a consistent Story line with subplots and various subject themes ( Action, Comedy, Tragedy, Drama, Religion, Adult themes, and Philosophy). While just kids were fantasizing about wanting to be Gatchaman, Everyone of all ages fantasized about wanting to be Koji Kabuto with a giant robot such as Mazinger-Z. The Maz design style that you see in Shin Mazinger (and the Mazinkaiser OVA) is derived from the original manga design of Mazinger-Z. I'm not so familiar with how the manga issues were designated and distributed. And I don't know how many issues the Mazinger-Z manga has. Though I'm sure someone around here just might also be a hardcore manga collector, who may have followed the Mazinger-Z manga and has every issue; perhaps that person might be able to explain more detail about the Mazinger-Z manga collection. zozo-mag Question... In the Manga why does the design of Mazinger go back and forth from a shin Mazinger style to classic tv Mazinger throughout the issues? And why did they just have the stranded all of a sudden is book 3 without any introduction on where it came from?

Were the different styles jumping back-n-forth between chapters in each manga issue, or was it a progressive evolution or changeover from the old Nagai design to the Toei version? Here's an example of what I've seen, from downloaded manga file images: Chapter 1: story "A" Mazinger-Z drawn old retro version, end of Chapter 1 story "A".
Chapter 2: story "B" Mazinger-Z now drawn Toei style or modern style, end of Chapter 2 story "B".
Chapter 3: story "C" Mazinger-Z back to the old retro look, end of chapter and story... ...and so on, and so on, and so on, and schmbluuuuuuuuuugh lol zozo-mag Question... Within issues it alternated. Unless the stories were done out if order maybe. But it wasn't a progressive enhancement. It was back and forth.
