He looks smaller because the armor is bigger but looks like we get another x with the armor.......... which means bandai strikes agian, they could of easily included the armor with X It's not "armor", per say (in that sense that it's something to be attached outside the body). It's simply an armored X. There's no "additional figure" - if you want to display X without being fully armored, you'll have to own the first release. The pictures are just to show how the parts are interchangeable between figures.

Thanks very much for the images infos. Whoa! Seing all the Ultimate/X Armors is great and atleast im abit knowledgeable about their very interesting history.
Ive played X1 until X4, abit of X5 but i never truly ventured beyond the game itself. I recognized that Ride and it was very expensive when i saw it last year @ some forums.
Now im curious What Bandai's next move is. Are they going forward with the Ultimate Armors now that X1 X Armor is an upcoming release? I really Fancy X6 Blade and Shadow Armor.
Are they going to do the Altenate Colored Armor/ Stage boss armor? Somehow i feel like Black Zero Armor is going to be a TWE in the future.
Well, atleast for now, we havent got any exclusive yet on the way. Im just really thankful that ZERO is not an exclusive.
(unlike SilverFang of Garo SHF)

Hmm Quinn u sure bout that? I really think it gonna get another x along w armor they keep showing both together. Usually when bandai releases demo pics they would show armor kn it's own which they have yet to do at all.. Just a thought

Usually when bandai releases demo pics they would show armor kn it's own which they have yet to do at all.. Just a thought I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. Or maybe I"m misunderstanding what you were implying at first. This recent announcement is for a complete figure in its armored form. There is no separate armor. The armored legs, etc..., are the legs. It's being shown in various stages of "undress" (no helmet armor, etc..), but those are parts swaps from the original release of X. I guess I misunderstood your original statement as implying that this release would be a basic unarmored X along with the armor, implying that the people who bought the first release would be screwed (which is not the case. If you want a standard X, you can't have one if you buy just this armored version of X). My apologies for any confusion.

what i like more about the X1 First Armor is the simple look and yet is so nostalgic in contrast to the MHX which it looks terrible IMHO so im glad there doing the classic version. Sure maybe along the way they will make the rest of the armor upgrades specially the MHX but i always wanted to have this one, now to wait if they do X2 series version and wonder if they will do the original Zero Buster although i would prefer they add both version of the Zero Buster (the one in X2 and the one from X3 and forward) that way you kill 2 birds with one stone sort of speak.

I got my Rockman X with Weissritter the other day. I dig him, but the build quality on him isn't nearly as nice as it is with Weiss. The joint in his neck has popped open (it's a figma-joint style hinge), and even after trying to push it back together with needlenose pliers, it won't stay shut. It's not a huge deal, but it does make him a bit bobbleheaded if I'm not careful when moving him. Likewise, the soft rubber joint covers can sometimes get loose and require adjusting. Finally, the left ankle joint is sooooooooo tight that I'm seriously afraid I'll break something anytime I move try to move it.
Other than that, he's awesome. The subtle metallic blue is beautiful, and the toy is solid as a rock (although, as I mentioned, in some ways he's TOO solid). Putting him next to the Kotobukiya Rockman kit is kind of mind blowing, because so much of their design with regards to joints are the same, and yet at the same time totally different.
Great figure, I'll probably get Zero at the very least, though I'm still up in the air on the armor.

love the pics mecha but tell me why you have that gay pornstar in your collection???!?!
Quin, glad to see you gave in, knew you couldnt resist. I didnt have any of the joint issues u had in mine however he did have a few paint flaws, some chipping and black chip on one of the arms. I also wish you could move his hips more (precisely where his legs meet the hips) they did so many innovative joints for everything else but not for that area........... and they could of easily addressed it as they have in many figures before it.

I thought they were quite clever with the hips, actually. It's a ball joint attached to a swiveling joint - the overall range of motion is actually really wide - the main thing is that the wider you spread his legs (ewwww), the more disjointed the joint itself looks. I think the Kotobukiya model kit actually did it a little nicer (although not as seamlessly) by putting an integrated universal joint on a swiveling hip bar. Like I said, lots of similar-but-different things going on between the Bandai and Kotobukiya offerings. Bandai's joints are overall more complicated, but only in a few instances would I say outright that they're better.

no i mean he cant do the "rising knee" pose..... you cant really bend them upward 90 degrees very much so he cant really do the dash that well due to this fact. now if you could give an extended joint like konami does with the busou shinki figures...... and hell a few other bandai figures, he could do the dash with perfection........ is all im saying

I see what you mean, he can't raise his legs up more than 90 degrees (or even reach 90), and he gets even less movement to the rear. The Kotobukiya kit can get that kind of flex and more, thanks again to that ball universal joint - it's not nearly as "clean" looking as the thigh on X, is the tradeoff. Worth it? Who knows. As far as X goes, thankfully, the rest of his body is flexible enough to make up for it

The Zero figure looks pretty cool and is in good scale with X.
I doubt they will make the upgraded Zero as a TWE since it would be kinda stupid plus is the most common look that Zero use from X2 all they way to x7 and MMXCM. now i wouldn't be surprise if they make Copy Zero from X2 as a TWE or Sigma or the X-Hunters or better yet the Green Biker Dude, now that i can see him as a TWE.

just because he is so popular is exactly why bandai will make him TWE, common bandai has done it in plenty other lines so its not beyond them, and if you measure current trends..... its pretty much something they would love to do

@mechamastrj: That gay pornstar is there for the lol. XD
Yeah the leg joints has limited angle. It really looks weird at first, you can see the gap when you try to pose it as some angles.
I also have troubles exchanging the face plates, or rather opening the head for MM. It really looks like the head can snap off if you pull at a wrong angle. Scary, its like do or die moment when you decided to change MMs expressions.
The Joints feels kind of brittle. Its a solid joint system but too hard that it feels like its going to break if you are not careful. Maybe im just too used to revoltechs sturdy clickity joints or Figmas smooth joinst system.
Either way, this toy feels fragile and must be handled with proper care.
All of us is waiting for Bandai to pull a TWE on us...It feels like we just are waiting to see if we can handle a TWE.LOL. I just noticed that X armor and Zero have the same Buster. ummm..any story on that?

hard to say, there many variation stories for the concept of the upgrade X-Buster and the Z-Buster been look alike. some that i remember are:
- Dr. Light was working on X, Wily finds out and steals a copy of X blue prints which starts making Zero. - it was suppose to be MM new buster upgrade but Dr. Wily steals the blueprints and decided to use it against MM and his friend by creating Zero. - Inafune wanted to give a homage of his original idea of Zero been the main character which Capcom turn down in favor of making X more closer to the original MM.
of course non of it is official but i wouldn't be surprise if the Inafune theory was real.
