Although it's fixed pose, the Medicom's MGS4 Raiden in the UDF line from a couple of years ago (or last year? I don't remember) is really nicely done.

You know if they can make a Grey Fox and Snake.....they can surely make a Metal Gear Rex and Metal Gear Ray. Why dont they? Honestly if they made those two mechs....I'd be the first to pre-order and buy them asap!!! MAKE ONE ALREADY!!! I've had enough of the human characters! For a series that has the titular Metal Gear mech in its name....its a damn shame that more companies arent trying to make figures of the Metal Gears themselves. d**nit!!

NO. I don't want SE to get Rex/Ray rights. I don't want that at all, for one very specific reason. If ANY licensing BS prevents the ThreeA Rex and Ray from coming out, there will be murders. And if it gets snuffed because SE puts out a 5" tall overpriced Play Arts Kai with loosey goosey joints, there will be genocide.

I would rather SE or Kaiyodo give us a Rex or Ray than ThreeA giving us that monster of a Rex. Hell they'd probably charge anywhere between 500-700 bucks a piece. Thats way out of my budget line and not to mention its too god damn large. I'd like a Rex half the size. But not that large.

If SE or Kaiyodo give you a rex it won't be half the size, it'll be slightly larger than a deluxe transformer and cost $60

Can't wait. So far all the Play Arts Snake figures are awesome. And Metal Gear Solid 1 version really is a dream come truth.

The figure looks great overall. Some say that the face is off, but these persons seem to be comparing it to Super Smash Bros' Snake, which I think is based more on Metal Gear Solid 2's version. When you look at MGS : The Twin Snakes' (GameCube) cover art and cutscenes, the head sculpt look spot-on, or at least very close. He does look like they put him on the sauce, though, in a suit 2 or 3 sizes too small. I know it's supposed to be skintight, but it seems a little TOO tight. Looks like it cut off his blood circulation and the blood can't come back up his legs, hence the humongous Chun-Li thighs.

If you have Snake, you have to have Meryl! A first look at the prototype PAK Meryl sculpt, courtesy of Kojima's twitter
