I just got the american version of Cybertron Sound wave. Lazerbeak is cool, but over all I feel the piece is cheaply made and does not tranform as it should and the weapons do not attaced as they should. I really was looking forward to playing with this guy, but it transforms ugly. Is the Japanese version better?

soundwave is very cool as a character. but the toy disappointed most fans. i wish they make a perfect version of soundwave on the 20th aniversarry line. that will make my day.

G1 Soundwave has been a long time favorite of mine. I wonder what the japanese reissue was like.

I really dig the Cybertron/GF Soundwave design. Yeah, it's made of plastic, but the transformation is actually complex and ingenious. It's not as intuitive as you think; I guess it was refreshing for me to find a bot that actually took some thought into transforming for a change. The alt mode is nice, the bot mode is also nice (with some kibble, of course). I don't dig the Soundblaster colors (the original Soundblaster was more heavy on red and not gold).

I was hoping Soundwave was going to look a little more "heavy duty".
