It looks like a Hot toys Ironman body. Is it really going to be a mass production toy? or just someone's custom work?

Play Imaginative's website says it's S$350 (~US$280) retail, S$315 (~$253) preorder. For a 1/6 scale %85 diecast figure, I was expecting worse. Unless I'm confusing my currencies and it's not Singapore dollars. But since that page's about the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention limited gloss finish edition, I suppose it is. From their website : The new Dark Knight comes to life in the form of the Super Alloy 1/6 Scale Collectable Figure "Batman by Jim Lee". Based on Jim Lee's unique vision, this Batman figure features a more armored suit comprising at least 85% die-cast metal alloy, with more than 50 points of articulation.
Featuring a detachable and posable fabric cape, grappling gun and batarang accessories, and a magnetic dragon gargoyle display base, the Super Alloy 1/6 Scale Collectable Figure “Batman by Jim Lee” is a limited edition piece for collectors. The SPECIAL EDITION "Batman by Jim Lee" figure comes in a limited edition gloss finish and is only available through pre-order and at the Play Imaginative Booth G3 at the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention from 1-2 September 2012. It will not be available for purchase after STGCC 2012.

i am sorry am i the only one who thinks it looks like a basic rip off of Ironman? i am sure it will have its fans but i will pass on this i would much rather have a Hot Toys version. the first pic with the cape looks ok but the second picture without it looks plain wrong like someone just popped off the Ironman head and kitbashed a Batman on it. it just seems like they are trying to cash in the the dark knight rises and Avengers cash cow, by combining 2 of the more popular figures into one for quick sale. How long till we see a black and greyish Batman style Ironman

It is based on Jim Lee's design for DC's New 52 reboot. Looks relatively faithful, but I don't remember the large Iron Man shoulder pads from the comics. Maybe PI took some artistic liberties with the design, or Bruce Wayne added these in later issues. I haven't followed the New 52 at all, so I couldn't say.

to be honest in that picture it does not look metal it looks like the same kind of material from the films kind of synthetic with the boots and gauntlets being made of some sort of high quality rubber like material, maybe that is why it does not translate well in my eyes

Oh, I wasn't defending that point. Just the general look and sculpt. A diecast Batman makes nearly as little sense to me as a diecast Mickey Mouse. I've resisted the siren call of all Batman figures so far and I'll probably pass on this one too.
The ones I'm waiting for are Hot Toys' Arkham City Batman and '60s Adam West Batuzi. They haven't officially announced a '60s TV Batman yet, but if his Batmobile is on the way, he can't be far behind.

It was officially announced that it was coming, they just haven't shown anything other than prototypes of hands and accessories.

Can't believe we get a 12" die cast batman before we get a 12" die cast ironman.
To me batman should have a more leather/rubber texture rather than metal.
Either case, not a batman fan.
