Watched Fate/Stay it was decent but I've been watching Fate/Zero and it's much better. Favorite character is Rider but the others are pretty good too. Now I'm just not sure if I should pick up Saber to support this line till/if they make a Rider or just wait and see.

He looks exactly like the anime. Does three cups hinting at Rider's release you think?

Doesn't it REALLY wierd that nobody notices that he is more like GILGAMESH than archer since I never saw archer with that armor.. even the display name is ARCHER BTW, that weapon is gilgameshs weapon sent from photon power lab

Their the same character in Fate/Zero, Archer is his role while Gilgamesh is his real name. Just like Saber is Arturia's role, they just call them by their roles like Rider and Lancer instead of their real names of Iskander and Dairmuid.
The Archer in Fate/Stay is a different character.

Thanks for the info chen. I still prefer to call him gilgamesh though. Let archer be archer sent from photon power lab

Archer is now on for PRE-O for around $75 at your usual import shops! Got mine at AmiAmi, but Nippon Yasan has him too!
Yeah with SOC Danguard, July or rather mid August is going to be a fun month. ;D
SPOILER ALERT for Fate/Zero!!
I'm on E10...when is somebody going to get knocked off....? Just too much talking philosophy non sense and just gageing each other out sofar, but actions been Very limited.... Art work is just beautiful though, very high production.

Saber is on sale at AmiAmi for $55 new now and around $47 for couple of "Pre-Owened." I think this is decent issue for the price of SRC for Saber fans. I bought it for $70 and I think it's pretty cool.

Just opened my Archer I got last week from AmiAMi. Wow~ he's pretty impressive.
Pros:
The head is exact copy of anime..incredible. Please don't loose this sculptor Bandai! Articulations are countless...unlike Saint Seiya, all the armor pieces move but they don't and won't ever fall off due to ingenious toy engineering. Diecast count: Shoulder armors, Chest, torso, Skirt armors including all the little bits and pieces), lower legs, and feet. The diecast pieces are molded sharp, extremely intricate (just look at the pointy feet and shoulder pieces sharp creases...)and THICK if not completely solid!! The quality of the mold is incomparable to SRCs...It's on a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. The paint apps are perfect! It's subtle mute color that's very pleasing to my eyes.
Cons: No toys are perfect and this is no exception... It is back heavy so stand is DEF needed. Despite the instruction manual indicating the sword(?) is metal, it is NOT! Just like Saint Seiya, there no clickety ratchet joints...
That's it. For arount $100 this is an awesome piece! It's bigger HEAVIER denser and better colored and sculpted piece then Chogokin Saber.. Whether you're Saber fan or not, if you like diecast figure, you won't be disappointed with him.
BTW, if his archer why doesn't he have a bow and arrow...crazy.

Gilgamesh doesn't need a bow and arrow to shoot sh*t at his enemies. P-)I'm glad he came out well, but sadly I don't see Bandai doing anymore characters from the series.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't know if it's selling well, but looking it how there are plenty of Sabers still around and Archer not selling out, so the line's future doesn't look too bright.
Please pick him up if you see him at a good sale though. You can't tell by the photos, but his metal armors have that old buttery warm antique bronze tint to them... and when the thinner metal shoulder armor hits the solid chest armor? *tinggg~.* Or how the solid metal feet hits the surface when I walk the figure (yes I do that..), or how the PVC parts squicks against the metal parts ?
The sound it makes.....it's just pure music...love music.

Good man. If you like intricate yet sturdy metal figures, I don't think you'll regret this purchase.

Oh yeah, I'm fan of the fate series, especially Fate/Zero so this was always considered a purchase from my somewhat 20 minutes away favorite toy shop. Furthermore, I just don't see a figma of this guy being made, since only select male characters get made from any given series for figmas, but usually not the villains. So kudos to Bandai for having the balls to make a gilgamesh figure with tons of gokin to boot!

Took the plunge and ordered both Saber and Archer from Ami Ami. Thanks for all the feed back about these gokins. Looking forward to getting them. Chogokin Miku and Drossel have no idea what's joining them in the cabinet, hehe.
