Looks great, the price is 19,440 YEN which is cheaper then I thought. Hopefully my usual go to store for MP's will have it for around 15,000YEN.

Can anybody translate the surrounding text? There has been speculations that MP-22 will be similar to Citizen Stack, a single transforming unit instead of a white prime in armor.

マスターピース第２２弾はウルトラマグナスに決定！Ｇ１トイではコンボイと同型の小型ロボットと、カーキャリアが変形した型ボディの合体が印象的だが、マスターピースではアニメーション映象と同様の変形コンセプトを実現。キャブ単独のロボットモードは存在せず、キャブとカーキャリアが一体のままロボットなる変形パターンを採用している。ビークルモードのキャブはＭＰ－１０コンボイと同じサイズで、タイヤやフロントグリルなど、一部バーツも共用されている。その他、肩のミサイルにも基部の？動を盛る込むなど差し替えなしでの変形が可能となっている。
The decision for Masterpiece 22 is Ultramagnus! For the small size of the G1 toy’s robot form, the transformation and unification of the car carrier was impressive, but our target for the masterpiece (figure) was implementing a transformation identical to the cartoon. Without the existence of the (truck) cab in robot mode, we had to employ the robot transformation of the cab and car carrier as it is. In vehicle mode, the cab, tires, front grill etc., are the same size as MP-10’s、so we used the commonalities of the two. Furthermore, transformation can be done without removing (replacing) the shoulder missiles.
So yeah. Looks like this year I will be having two different versions of Ultra Magnus where neither one is a white prime in armor! That only takes like... 28 years?!

I still am surprised how much bigger the is than MP10. Based on the Sunbow chart he should be only about a head taller. Maybe I am looking at ir wrong. Still, looks great.

Ummm am I the only one that thinks his legs/feet look totally stupid? I am not impressed at all so far. Really? Why would you say that? It's the shape of the feet as depicted by his animation model isn't it? To tell the truth, I prefer the shape of KFC CStack's feet better. |

I like the feet, they look cartoon accurate and big and blocky like a 80's design should be. He should be only a head taller at most but like everything in the cartoon it varies, sometimes he's as tall as Prime/Rodimus others he towers over everybody.

Maybe I just need to see some coloured photos... I do really like his head though. I'm not sure if I'll get this or wait for hasbro though... 300 bucks is crazy. I think the reviews and amount of QC will help me decide.

^ It's been confirmed that the price will be about 190 bucks. The 300 bucks seems to be BBTS' preorder place holder price.
Now I worry because it seems that the shoulder axis is placed way behind the neck, similar to the titanium Magnus. Anybody else seeing what I'm seeing?
