I was reading about Jumbos on-line and came across what looks like a chronological order of Popy Jumbos. Admittedly, I don't know too much about this hobby that I'm so passionate about so forgive my question if it comes off as ignorant but has anyone else ever heard of them? I vaguely recall seeing an E-Bay auction not so long ago where I think the seller 'Chastityknott' sold one for some serious $$. He's the same seller who has listed his Danguard Ace JM for 7k and now 5k with negative results. Do any board members here have either or both? If not, do you know other collectors that do?
Here I was thinking that BFJ & Godsigma were rare and all of a sudden I stumble onto these Popy JM's that make BFJ look as commonplace as a Mattel Gaiking!! Thoughts?.......pictures?

Here is their picture from the old Popy catalog.. As I understand it they are based off of a live action, power rangers-like show called Kyodain featuring two brothers. The "Jumbos" are a sub set called "super jumbos" which in a strange contradiction stand only 19" tall but are made of the same material as normal jumbos.

Those two little guys are probably the first "junior machinder" and are really smaller, not sure about the 19", they look much smaller than this. They show up from time to time and sell for high price when they're complete and boxed, they have tiny missiles that can shoot from the belt, and there's a part of the helmet that can be remove to show a stickers with the borther's face, funny gimmick.
As for the reference book, he's just amazing, the pictures are great and the jumbos are really nice. It's only missing the Green Ghost C3 and Garada K7. I'm a bit sad that it doesn't show the boxes, but it's clearly a book that all Jumbo fan must have. There's also the Gangu Jinsei #2 where you have also all the accessories and some boxes too.

and there's a part of the helmet that can be remove to show a stickers with the borther's face, funny gimmick. I never knew this about them! Just like the diecast. The ad posted above seems to also suggest that a part of them can be formed into a vehicle - is this possible? I suspect not.

The figures have wheels mounted on the back of the torso to make it work.

Not sure if the parts can be removed and recombined in another way.

A comment from the review for them on Jumboland: "In the show, the brothers could transform into weird-looking vehicles called the "Grand Car" and "Sky Missile." The Jumbo versions can be broken down and mounted on little car-like platforms to duplicate the effect."

Ahh, I stand corrected. I've seen too many toys take the easy way out / shortcut, and I don't recall seeing too much on these other than standing in a box.
