Just guessing on metal content I would say that the chest/torso of each one is metal. The Donald and Daisy heads also look like metal to me. Pluto on the up close shot in the third video looks like he has the least metal.

Certainly looks like a damn good size. Even has PILOTS inside the cockpits, too! If I were a Disney fan I'd be on this like a trayamp. Congrats to those of you who bought it, now let's see some pics! zozo-mag

Is the rotating piece inside the head die-cast too?

It looks like it. But without being able to touch it I cannot tell.
The figures are all really solid with only Goofy's legs/feet being the odd part.
Mickey, Minny, Donald, and Daisy were all way more awesome than I expected them to be. The cockpit part was a surprise as was the amount of articulation.

Cool pics actionawesome! Can you show us a combined pic? I'm still on the fence about buying this being Mickey Mouse and all. My 3 year old son keeps pointing at your pics on the ipad screen which may convince me to get one even at a slight markup from retail.

Sure thing OzmaLee. Promise pics tonight. My daughter is going to learn how to say "GATTAI!!!!" and we will form King Robo Mickey.
Thus far I am super impressed with this guy. I suspect he will be pretty heavy combined.

The one thing I thought as I was pulling the figures out was that it reminded me of the toys I got as a kid a bit and that I wished there was a show for this guy!
When I pulled out the box at work (upon delivery) my coworkers were all "DUDE! AWESOME!"

The diecast content is only limited to the chest area of each pieces. The right leg is a bit light and can be off balance as left side is heavier. The head silver pieces inside the visor is plastic.
overall, this is a very nice mikey mouse chogokin combiner. you will not regret having this.

Good set but my donald duck arm attachment is loose. A very light pull and the arm come right off. Doesnt hold very well. Daisy side holds better. Does anyone have that issue?

So is Ace Willie the best part of the set? I flipped out the first time I saw him in the commercial, I thought it was just going to be a head that attached.

Ok. No pics tonight. Worked on putting this together into Robot form tonight and tragedy struck. I discovered the most frustrating part of the set. Mickey combining with Minny. There is this little peg that is supposed to connect into Mickey's foot. One of the pegs broke. Sigh. I have pinned it and will try again. But I have to say, I just do not get how these to go together well. It just seems to make no sense. All the other bits are awesome.

No pun intended.....lol...... let's hope this big boy don't come with no "elbow issues" such as a certain other specimen whose name I won't mention in this thread. ;D

No elbow issues. Heck, I don't even know what I did wrong. I watch the video I posted and did it the same way. Oh well. i blame being too strong and clumsy

Be careful with it. Just relax and take your time learning how to combine it, especially with the kids watching. I'm the same way, too strong and clumsy plus impatient when it comes to handling a new specimen... ...I've broken hauls on occasion, due to my lack of patience. ;D

ok after playing this thing for a while, my recommendation is to have it display individually or as a combined form and leave it as it.
Once you combined, it will have the feeling of not wanting to decombine due to few very fragile connectors. Mine didn't have those shoulder issue, but i can tell why some would have. Also 2 tabs on my unit broke off for no reason. one tab on goofy waist connecting to his arm, and another one on donald hand connector broke off.
The connecting tabs are bit too thin and fragile, i rather those be diecast instead of the chest piece.

Ouch! Man, I feel your pain already. Contact the manufacturer and explain to them exactly what happened. Take pics and show it to them. Hopefully the manufacturer will send you a replacement. Good luck. The last thing Disney needs right now is a QC issue and a flood of unsatisfied customers for this item having parts breaking off. zozo-mag

There is this little peg that is supposed to connect into Mickey's foot. One of the pegs broke. Sigh. I have pinned it and will try again. But I have to say, I just do not get how these to go together well. It just seems to make no sense. All the other bits are awesome. I noticed that this connection looks more complicated to put together than it actually is. I kind of messed around with it for a minute and then folded Mickey's legs down so I could see where everything was supposed to line up. I was surprised to find that you really don't have to force this connection if it's positioned correctly, it will just sort of snap right into place. You'll know it as soon as you got it. I noticed the Daisy arm connection is slightly weaker, but doesn't pull off when handled or positioned. It's a kind of a crazy transformation, but really the whole idea behind this thing is pretty crazy. Whoever at Bandai figured out the engineering on Mickey deserves a gold star as it's almost on par with something you find from S.H.E., but it all comes together smooth enough and I didn't find any standout problem areas. In fact I actually thought some of the connections would be harder than they were, but sometimes took a minute of head scratching. The individual figures are well made and articulated and quite sturdy, which leads you to believe that the whole thing is more of a toy... until you make the robot, and then it's clear that this is quite advanced and really not made for children to combine. My one BIG recommendation with this whole thing: DON'T FORCE IT. If you can't get something to connect or move etc. then you are doing something wrong, or you might have to fiddle with it for a second to get things to line up. Watch the video while transforming and keep the book open. It all works, but how some of the parts are hinged or jointed is not what you might expect.I really dig the whole idea for this thing, with a really high quirk factor.
