Got mine today too. As it is absolutely outstanding the whole look of the figures as well as the engineering, the combined form is off balance and EXTREMELY - let me stress that - prone to breaking especially where Mickey's feet combine with Minnie. Actually, one of my Minnie's connection pegs was bent from the start and simply won't fit into Mickey's foot. It's so frustrating. The plastic is lame. I have seen bootlegs with better plastic than this.
Too bad this could have been a spectacular one but its play value suffers a lot from that. I can see a few years from now, this plastic will brittle.

I can see a few years from now, this plastic will brittle. That is the exact same problem I had with mine. The foot to peg connection sucks. They could have done that with a magnet or something. Hell, there are magnets in the ratchets of Donald and Daisy but they are really tight. Without a good "shoulder" the thing will come apart. I have decided that it is still really awesome uncombined. Maybe more so in hindsight. My daughter LOVES them and each individual robot seems to be built really awesomely.

That backpack on Minnie with the pegs is made out of a super stiff plastic with no flex (I think it's hard ABS). I don't know why they would ever use this stuff for connection points on anything, yet here it is again. It's by far the most brittle and prone to snapping and breaking compared to any other plastic.

Got one on Amazon Marketplace for $138.42 shipped. Hope the seller comes through. If not, Amazon's got my back. I really had no intention of buying this but my son kept bugging me about. Ha! I'll just tell the wifey it's his. He will love the individual figures, but when it comes to transforming you should probably do this unless he's maybe older than twelve. My daughter wants to play with them all the time, so we get them out and she comes up with little scenarios where they are "super" Disney heroes. As long as your kid isn't prone to throwing them or trying to push parts to the most extreme position as possible they hold up well. She actually doesn't like it when I try to combine them because it takes too long and detracts from play time. He's turning 4 which means I can't leave him unattended with it unless I want to end up with a broken toy. You're right about him loving the individual figures. ;D He didn't like the combined form and just kept asking me to uncombine it. I was extra careful when combining it after reading all the posts about breakage. I guess I need to check the point where mickeys feet tabs into Minnie because I can't get to fit tightly.

Got mine today and like it! There's definitely some cheap-feeling plastic in some pretty important areas, as others have said. My only other gripe is that you can't move the Goofy leg out at all, so the robot doesn't stand straight unless the Pluto leg is perfectly straight too.

Got one the other week. Not Bandai's best effort... Arms wouldn't stay in properly and Donald's feet splitted in 2 during first transformation. All fixed, but the figure just looks good. Doesn't feel good.

Just got mine yesterday. First I will agree with some of the other comments regarding it being fragile and finicky. It felt as though I was going to break it sometimes when applying force to combine or separate things (I.E. Minnie's backpack connection to Mickey's feet). However if one is careful, follows the instructions and uses patience, all can be done without breakage.
I certainly think that if Bandai had made this bigger, more along the lines of a sentai robot, it could have been better and more stable with less chance of breakage.
All that said, I can still recommend it for it's unique take on the gattai robot genre and at least in my example the top quality fit and finish. Takara eat your heart out. I only wish my MP Soundwave had half the QC of this piece!

GC8, where did you order from? I was able to order one from AmiAmi before they ran out of stock. Sadly they are now out of stock on this item last time I checked. I don't usually use them as I prefer HLJ as they have always been very good to me, but this time I placed an order with HLJ and it went out of stock somehow and I had to cancel my order. Either way, I did get it and really like it. It just has a crazy, funky vibe to it ;D.

TWE = Tamashii Web Exclusive?
I saw a preorder for this on eBay and wondered about it. So it's just a repaint, or is there any more metal content? I hope the release of this helps drive the price of the original down, as I've been considering getting one.

It will be sold at the next Tamashii Nation Event (1st November, I think). Sales price is 15000 Yen, which is about the same as the original. Judging from the price and the fact that Bandai often uses repaints for the salon exclusives, I doubt it will feature more metal than the original version.

The original must have sold decently well if they are doing an exclusive of it I would think
