After I got Yamato 1/60 TV VF-1A from HLJ sale ,I want to collect all 4 VF-1 from TV. I think I start too late VF-1D price now 2.5-3x too expensive to buy now.
VF-1 S and J prices are now increase, should I get them now or wait for SUPER valkyrie version which not release or even announce yet?
Look like YAMATO re-release them every 2 years but I don't want to buy them in 2014 ;D ;D

i also recently bought 2 VF1A (brownie & a Hikaru) from a local collector, both are loose but are still in perfect condition. except for the 1A Hickie, which is known for shoulder cracks, but there were replacement parts included so no biggy. but the 1/60 v2 are just so awesome to have ;D you can probably save a few pennies if you wait a bit???

You probably confused this guy more than helped him. You picked up the movie type VF-1A Hikaru - he doesn't care because he's talking about the TV versions. Anyway, i had bought the Focker S and Hikaru J from the latest releases (30th anniv) and i don't see any reason for you to wait. Even on a discount, the valkyries that go on 50 % are usually those that people don't buy even if held at gunpoint. No doubt the super parts will be released too.

I did't wait for big sale. or for second hand. ;D ;D
Today the price of (30th anniversary) TV VF-1S and 1J are rising from their List price. Most store are sold out.
If I buy them now they will a bit too expensive.
Should I wait for 30th anniversary Super valkyrie VF-1J and S and buy them at List price instead. I'm not sure Yamato will re-release them soon.

Yamato has a tendency to rerelease VF1 molds every few years, but never guarantee which version or colour so you might have to be very patient. For example I want the VF1A movie version Hikaru too but it never released since 4 years ago. But many versions of VF1 came out already (mozt popular seems to be Roy Fokker colours)...and then Max VF1J types...
I don't remember when VF1D was last released...

I say buy it now if the price is right. I used to pick up bargain yamato valks from toy fairs and such, prices usually 20-30% off retail, easy.

I bought a VF-1S 30th anniv TV version at retail price while I had friends who bought the old VF 1 variants. They watched in envy as they noted the differences between my newer variant (with different locking mechanisms and extra parts) and theirs.
I don't know what kind of improvements they will make yet out of the 1/60, but accdg. to them it's pretty good now.

I was in the same boat. I was considering the 1D, 1S and 1J but thought it expensive. I decided to get 3 1A in different paint schemes instead and I love it
