There's also the style to take into account. I've watched a few anime that had cool robots, but their style was nothing I really cared about much. Gundam is one of them. I do have a few Gundam in my collection, that I got back in the 90's, but in general, I don't really like them much. Same goes with Evangelion, Patlabor, Dougram, Votoms, Dunbine, and yes, Tranformers and to some extent GaoGaiGar. I hate giant autonomous robots with feelings! ;D

As for being a anime fan first I must say there are animes that I thought were average or to long but the robot itself made such a impact that it over rode the show. Same with short OVA's like Dangaio it was only three episodes long with a average story but the sheer design had me hooked. Liking an anime helps and gives you a better understanding of the robot but in the end it comes down to if you think the robot is cool or not. Two words. But that is the best part of SRX! ;D Otherwise it would just be a Gundam Clone. Besides, they are not goggles, it is an entire head piece, like a helmet of sorts. }D |

I have watched several from "The Inspectors". I just have not gotten far enough for SRX to show up yet. Not my favorite in the series though. That would be Dygenguard

Watch them all, but you have to do it in this order for everything to make sense:
1. SRWOG Divine Wars
2. SRWOG The Inspectors
3. SRWOG The Animation
I hated the SRW concept until I watched the anime. To me there were just too many "Gundam lookalike" robots. After watching the series I became an avid fan of both Robots and the characters. My favorite... SRX! ;D

I am with actionawesome on this one. I've seen most of the SRWOG stuff but not really interested jn the SRX team. Sure i like to get some Chogokins of them and a SOC or SRC would be nice. I like the individual R-1, R-2 and R3 robots but not so much the combined SRX. So he loses the Gundam feature with that goggle style like head, but that goggle style head is too Virtua-On for my liking.

Speaking of SRX, in SRW Alpha 3, it got torn up right? Then got "upgraded", was it still called just SRX? lol.. my PS2 is long dead now...
