Here we go : Yamato is gad dam pretty... and size count... ;D But wait and see GX-62 with anime hands (head ?) Well the SOC version is still a prototype with a poor paint app. But when it comes to proportions IMHO the SOC Danguard looks better.

the SoC version looks pretty sweet, more proportionate than the yamato version.

Yeah, I think Bandai wins this round. Yamato's head might look similar in scale at a glance, but when you look closer, it is smaller (relative to its proportion). In the pic, the heads of two versions almost identical in size, but look how much lower the hip of Yamato's. Shoulders are also a tad wide. So look like Bandai tries to make the head as big as they could possibly fit a still 'perfect transformation' structure. Looks like the same head in spaceship mode, but with a added head sleeve.
Great comparison pic by the way!

This picture shows that it is next to God Sigma. Any guesstimate on Danguard's height? Too short. My biggest fear is that Danguard will be sized the same as Raideen for Shogun Warrior fans. Combattler is about as tall as the rod port on Godsigma's shoulder.

The Yamato does have much more sleeker, aerodynamic looking lines though,it looks more appealing curve wise, the SOC is more of a rigid structure. They are both very nice, the SOC is like a tank, where the Yamato is like a jet.The face on the SOC is spot on ,even has those lips like the anime.Cant wait for this,BTW the God Sigma must be on a pedastal or his feet would be at Danguards knees.

Better picture to gauge size.

Like I said I think the days of giant SOC's may be over, it looks like the SRC line will be getting a tad bigger while the former big complex SOC's are getting smaller to fit in. Makes sense although there's nothing like a almost foot tall diecast robot, but when you stand a SRC Mazinger to a SOC God Sigma, Mazinger looks like it could be a toy for God Sigma.

Yeah, that looks to be GX-27 Gaiking or Raideen size, right? Which would be cool with me. Shogun Warriors!!! ;D
That SOC Danguard looks just beautiful....great proportion. Dare I say...sexy

I used the other photo and matched up existing photos see below, the other photo seems Godsigma was a bit behing Danguard so here it is,its preety close Id say...BOTTOM PIC SHOWS RULER and puts him right at about 9" according to my photo experiment hypothesis!Check how I matched up the lower legs by blowing up the other photo haha, love that part. ;D

Baron, i think Danguard will actually be shorter. that firs tpic was angled. The second is at a different angle but Danguard looks much smaller than Godsigma. My guess he is a bit taller than GX-27 Gaiking.

I think my initial thought holds true that I posted a while back. This figure will be between 9-10 inches based on the pics we have seen.

I think about 9" just as my mock up.Timmycore one way to check is to see where a Stage act stand comes up to on Godsigma,if it up to where it is in my pic or thereabouts we can get a better feeling if Im close.

I've been trying to figure out approximately hoe tall this figure is going to be based on the Tamashii stand. I used an SOC GX-02R which is exactly 17.5 cm (7 inches) tall. I then tried to position the figure in the same spot as the SOC Danguard Ace and positioned the stand's arm at the same angle it is in the DA picture... The SOC Danguard Ace is not going to be as small as I thought!!! }D

I think it is just about 8" tall, not 9".... Anyway, it doesn't matter, if anyone who like a taller version, should go for yamato version.

I'm not a fan of the Yamato Chrome Danguard Ace, but that picture is awesome. It is a beautiful figure indeed! }D
