Well, this SOC is a Protype with unfinished paint. The finished product will probably be all smooth and sexified

Hopefully it's under $200 if it's about 9 inches. These days of me getting $200-$400 toys are long gone.
In accessories. I hope they include Mr. X plane, and the two cockpit training plane.

They will probably put a lot of accessories to push price higher... SRC was introduced by bandai to bring affordable collectors toys, SOCs and DX SOCs are here for collectors people who got the money and the childhood vintage in mind/heart (those who eated Anime in the 70's and 80's). Better pics (from Emcorner) :

When should Danguard be available? What is the typical time from news to pre-orders? Is this pretty much the final design? Sorry, I'm a new SoC collector and am asking all these noob questions.

Oh Man!! What is this world coming to?!?! SRC's the size of SOC and SOC almost smaller than SRC!!! This is getting tooo confusing!! This sculpt is great, way better than the Yamato, but IMHO they f@#ked up big time sizewise!!! I mean seriously, can't believe it's going to be the same size as a GX-02!!! Daitarn or Daioja size would have been perfect.

I'm not a fan of the Yamato Chrome Danguard Ace, but that picture is awesome. It is a beautiful figure indeed! }D Amazing picture of the yamayo danguard. I didnt think it looked this good, maybe because all the other pictures I have seen didnt do it any justice. I like his design lines a lot better than the soc. The soc looks more like a play toy to me and that yamato like a figure that deservves to be in a museum. I think I, going to try to get one of the chromed yamatos as well.

I think it is an optical illusion, as the SRC Grendizer sits closer to the front of the display than the GX-04S. It makes it look a lot bigger than what it is. }D

Yeah remember these are all resin prototypes that are hand painted. You can still see the blade marks in these pictures, once we get some production samples is when you'll see a much finished product. You can't really compare a early prototype to a picture of a toy that was in it's third variation already.

Exactly. The DX-Mazinger looks a lot more awesome now that it is not the 3D-Printed prototype that was at SDCC. Even that looked awesome!

Grendizer less than or equal to 6" Well I hope you're right but from this pic the src seems roughly same size as the GX-04, if not slightly taller.....Now from the other pics put Danguard at roughly slightly higher than half Godsigma......and just do the math Again Kudos to Bandai for the Sculpt, but sizewise this Danguard sucks!!

Plus that Danguard is a promo shot so you know it was probably the most perfect toy that came off the assembly line and I wouldn't be surprised if it was touched up digitally. My Danguard is nice but it's nowhere near as flawless as that example. Also your working with a larger "canvas" with the Yamato, Bandai has to put roughly the same amount of detail and stuff in a toy that's probably only 2/3's as big. And believe me there's no point in hoping for a Daioja sized increase, the size probably has been set in stone and won't change.

Well, that would make Grendizer the tallest SRC ever made. ;D

An easy size marker is the place cards in front of the SOC and SRC, one is in front of the SRC while the other is in front of the Marine Spazer which is in front of the stand that Grendizer is on. Both cards seem roughly the same size so you can extrapolate how far each figure is from that card.
