Why do CM's Brave Gokin toys cost so much? I'm not speaking about after-market prices, but referring to their retail prices. Is it because they are produced in an super limited run or something? I've always been in awe at how pricey their toys are.

They are pretty expensive when compared to similar ones offered by Bandai. I think it is because it cost more for a smaller company to produce them in lesser quantities. The funny thing is that the Aoshima Gokin line was not as expensive. Their sculpts were excellent, but they did not have much in terms of engineering and articulation. However, they more than made up for that in the crazy amounts of diecast they used for their figures. I wish Aoshima re-starts the Gokin super robot line. They were cheap, heavy, and looked great! }D

I think it's because they don't sell a lot, and the cost will be massively discounted when retailers finally liquidate them.
