That's one large piece of metal. ThunderBreak bought the Matrix of Leadership replica. Here are his pics: back of the box: According to ThunderBreak, the Matrix has lots of features... it has electronic lights... the Key to Vector Sigma (the one on the left) opens the matrix

I... still don't really follow... I mean, what exactly does the key do? What did the caption mean by "The Key to Vector Sigma Activates the Matrix?"
I mean, it's cool and all that but... hmm... I have a funny feeling this'll be marketted to the absolute hardcore collector's and will cost on the order of $300 or something.

When you push the key into place, the Matrix light activates and swirls changing colours.

I have this Matrix. It's insanely awesome, I gotta say, but Wilson is correct. There is no metal in it. It is made purely of resin.
Also, the Key has two metal contacts on it that arc the electricity in the base, causing it to turn on and light up. Without the key, it doesn't come on. Pretty neat gimmick actually.
The price wasn't too bad. I preordered it from BBTS for like $159, iirc. Not sure what it's going for now, but I doubt the price has changed much, for better or worse.
Either which way, I'd recommend it to any fan. It's probably the coolest non-action figure Transformers item available.

Actually resin is not a bad choice. It's also nice and heavy.

Resin tends to crack if dropped so be careful.
