Many Micronaut/Microman fans like the Gylos line. So I decided to make a bridge between the the cool indie toys I am seeing and the vintage aesthetic everyone loves. This is the first in the series using Gylos compatible heads from Ni-Stuff. Coming up is Monsterpants Sea-Borgs and Godbeast's Armorvor heads. Ni-Stuff Gylos Micronauts Alien Hybrid custom5mmtoyhacker.blogspot.com/2012/11/ni-stuff-gylos-micro-alien-hybrids.htmlThis is my 2nd toyhack that mixes Indie toys and vintage grooviness. Sea-Borgs figures are by Monsterpants. If you look closely you will recognize parts of Energon, Cybertron, Diaclone in the mix. Challenge of the Sea-Borgsbit.ly/TcfoUG

So how long have this indie heads and parts been sold for Microman products? The producers items may benefit from more advertising......news to me.
Thanks for the review and details. Cool toys.

I was told the first production Pheyden and Exellis were sold at San Diego Comicon in 2007. I knew of Matt Doughty of Onell Design through his Micronauts modding work, which partly inspired my own toyhacking activities.
Gylos toys are not connected to the Micronauts line. I think they use a 4mm system not a 5mm system.
I only discovered by sheer chance that the heads fit Micronaut Alien bodies. One does have to unscrew the body to release the original head, but the original Micronaut isn't damaged in the process, if you are careful, so as mods go easy-peasy.
I'd like to see more people know about these toys as many of them are limited edition, hand crafted affairs made in small numbers.
