fist launching. So after firing the iron-cutter fist a few times to show my daughter what he was capable of, the fist now launches at will after about 5 or so minutes. I'm assuming it's the one of the springs either being too tense or too loose. Anyway know of a fix for this? I would like it to be able to fire still, and don't want to disable the function. New springs maybe? Thanks in advance.

Check the screws that hold the launcher together. Are they snug?
The internal button release spring might be the culprit as well. You could disassemble and stretch it apart a bit to add some lost tension.

Will try both suggestions. Is that the small spring you're talking about? Thanks!

Yea it's what puts tension on the release button. It's a thin spring to begin with and would take much for it to become over compressed and weaken compared to that car spring they used for the launcher itself lol!
I know my Daimos was prone to premature release until I noticed a slight gap in the 2 halves of the launcher. The front most screws were loose. (Note don't over tighten then its just this malleable plastic holding them together).

So I took off the attachment, unscrewed the screws--which I realized were on pretty darn tight--and tried to stretch the little spring, but it also seemed pretty tense already. I doubt I actually did anything to it. Put it all back together, put the fist back on and it stayed put! Then I put the whole thing back on the arm and within five minutes it popped off. I think the real issue is the hook is worn from use, so it slips out of the catch towards the back of the attachment part. I think I figured out how to finagle it so it stays put, but may need a replacement some day. Thanks again for the help. .

Thank you for ending your title of this thread at "premature..." Lol, it'll keep the people who are running really weird google searches from finding this forum lol.
Best of luck with the launcher though. I have had that happen over the years with both missile launching toys and the figures where the chest splits to let an alternate head rotate out.
If you can "build up" the hook with nail polish, superglue, or epoxy/putty, etc. you may be able to make it secure enough to grab. I have used similar techniques with plastic, but not the poly that jumbos are made of.

I was wondering what I might be able to use to build it up, because I don't know what affects this type of plastic. I was thinking of just adding a little bit of scotch tape around it, since it's clear and won't really be seen anyway.

I am working on a replacement for the fist shaft on Raydeen. Don't know why Raydeens is so prone to this, the original Mold must have been really thin. Hope to have it ready soon.

Hi So i managed to finish the replacement iron cutter fist stud. You can slightly heat around the wrist section to pull out the old one, and push in the new stud. Use the heat sparingly. I will make a video and post it on the Shogun plastics face book page soon. Just wanted to let ya know its done.

Cool item to add Derik. Is the piece solid filled? Also, curious on which resin did you use, if you don't mind answering. I use smooth-on's Task 9 for my shooting insert pieces, but they take a couple days to cure hard.

That way you won't leave any sticky residue on the plastic.

I made it a solid piece, only because my rotomolder isn't finished. I saw the task 9 on the website. It seems indestructable. I like the 325 series from smooth on. It works really well with different pigments.
